Interesting line up. Snodgrasss AND elmo both starting! Are we going 4-3-3 or will Snodgrass move to the left and clucas centra? Cant work it out.
Like many others, a simple change to 3 5 2 a tactic most of the squad are used to playing with would suit diame hudd and meyler as a midfield 3, get harry into the team in a back 3 which is unlikely to be put under much pressure, and another striker to play with Hernandez, if as expected forest are coming to batton down the hatches and play 10 behind the ball it could give them a problem they've not thought to counter in their preparation
Does Brucey know this word? Medical Definition of recidivist : one who relapses into a previous behavior or condition; especially : a habitual criminal
We clearly only have Hernandez as an effective striker, and at the moment he's been struggling for goals. What amazes me is how we could go into a season in this situation and still be there or thereabouts. In one sense it shows how well Bruce has done, on the other it highlights his shortfalls. I know I'm stating the blindingly obvious but I truly hope that our lack of any real options up front doesn't come back to haunt us.
With the situation we are in Diomande wasn't a good buy, injured and not used to playing over here at this level.
I think it's pretty much the team you'd expect and I'm happy Snodders is back. C'mon City let's put Saturday's match to bed and demolish Forest. Sing up lads and lasses!
And depending on loanee Akpom was another gamble that didn't pay off. Maybe go for a more experienced player than 2 young quite unproven ones like we did.
Diomande may or may not come good after a full pre-season, personally I tend to think that he does have what it takes and that it's only a matter of time, however we needed someone who could hit the ground running in what is such a pivotal season, unfortunately Burnley signed him. Why we always fall short in this, such a key area, is massively frustrating.
Totally agree. I like Bruce a lot, although it may not seem so, but **** me, him and Phelan should be miles ahead of every other management team in this division.
