I’m quite happy with last night’s result and as expected, Hull really upped their game to stop our run of victories. Imo, Paddy’s Pointers sums up last night’s game brilliantly, especially when it was played in atrocious conditions and on one of the Generals ‘boggy pitches!!!’ https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwi...-0-0-championship-draw-at-hull-city-1-5798000
Draws fine. Bit of a bogey ground for us. Keeps the unbeaten record. Sounds like it was a sh*tty away night. Conditions wise. I was more worried about the Rotherham game. They are solid and think they will play like Millwall. Crosses and set pieces.
Plus, as DH pointed out last night, nobody can seriously grumble at 19 points from a possible 21. Can they??
Funny isn't it. In recent weeks we have been brushed over in the media. Infact when Leeds won last week, they said on Sky they were back to the top. Despite being 3rd and 2 or 3 points behind us. Now last night, because we didn't win. Look at the first paragraph on BBC: "Norwich's six-game winning run came to an end as the Championship leaders were held to a goalless draw at lowly Hull." OH! NOW WE ARE TOP ARE WE!? CAN'T EVEN BEAT LOWLY HULL!? WE MUST BE AWFUL! Flippin' heck....
EXACTLY the headline I expected. PS – I don’t know if you’ve heard that the A11 is closed this morning and the B1172 is at a standstill.
I imagine the journos who write this all had Stoke, WBA and Boro as their fancied top three. Any 'intrusion' by a little underdog like us puts their vastly experienced noses out of joint so we get neutral / bad press. Long may it remain so
According to this, you can't get odds on the Binmen getting promoted https://m.skybet.com/football/sky-bet-championship/event/22089695
FML – I’m looking good for winning our bet that NCFC will finish in the top 10, but look like seriously losing out to DD (JR to score more goals than Marriot!!). imo, the mighty Leeds won’t win the Championship and could slip out of the top 2!!! NCFC meanwhile ……… Edit - Gary sums up last night's exploits superbly - http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...-stadium-but-canaries-remain-top-of-the-pile/ #apointsaved
DF sums it up pretty well: “If you can’t win it, then make sure you don’t lose it. We can live with this point,” said Farke. “We are not so arrogant that we say we will win each and every game in this league and finish the season with 130 points or whatever. We know where we are coming from. We are on a good run, scoring a lot of goals in recent weeks but sometimes you have an opponent who is fighting with a knife between their teeth. This side was able to beat West Brom 1-0. It is a good point and not many sides will be able to do that here." Love the "fighting with a knife between their teeth" description of the piratic Hull players. My only query was why not start with Vrancic, but I trust his judgement on that and Trybull had a very good game and we created 19 chances, so it wasn't for lack of trying.
