Im not sure they deserve to draw myself - they’ve only truly looked like scoring twice and both times were because of excellent shots from range - which is hardly suggestive of a dominant performance. Virtually all other chances was because McClean, or McCallum or Giannoulis did something really ****ing stupid. I do think both teams do NOT look anywhere near premier league quality though. It was horribly scrappy, especially at the end.
I knew someone would suggest Hull didn't deserve anything - and that is a fair comment as they did fail to break Norwich down
I thought he did well with his hold up play and created that last chance himself, it was a good last ditch block
Good result away against a team above us and going strong. Great streetwise performance. Play offs here we come. Any suggestions that the players aren't playing for Wagner are clearly b010locks.
I agree I think he has earned a new contract, especially considering he was out in the wilderness the entire first half of the season. He’s really good at front foot defending, cutting out passes and driving forwards
Ha! Sorry that was a bit cryptic. Yep, I thought he was excellent battling in the middle, disrupting, slowing the game down and generally being a pain for the opposition - as well as making space for our wider players. That’s what I was hoping to see when we signed him, a bit of Grant Holt, but too often he’s looked like a donkey. Tonight he was our second best player - behind Gunn IMO, but only because of Gunn’s excellent save.
Away wins seldom come easy but that was a gritty performance all through. Sargent now has 60 minutes and is nearing fitness. Great goal by Rowe and good positioning by Fassnacht for the second. Happy with that.
I like him going forward, but I can’t help feeling he’s not a left back. Too many weak passes in dangerous positions, getting pulled out of position etc still.
Ditto. Sure, he is still a bit "raw" but I prefer him to his Greek competitor. I think he has a lot more to offer the team.
He makes me a little nervous. That's why I didn't post about him during the match. His anticipation and ability to intercept is exciting.
I’m not going to change my opinion on him after one game, but I agree that was much more like what I was hoping to see from him, he hasn’t done that anywhere near often enough this season for me. Also he should have come off at the end, in the build up to the goal he was knackered and failed to press Hull as they built up in the middle.
Not sure what Gianoulis was thinking with the elbow, he seemed to suggest that he had been elbowed beforehand but definitely should have been a red for me. We got away with one there
