As HMQC is on holiday, I have been asked to post a MTD. After the FA Cup took centre stage at the weekend, Norwich City will return to league action on Friday night against Hull City (KO 8pm). The Canaries make the trip to the MKM Stadium after back-to-back 1-1 draws at home to start their 2024, against Southampton and then Bristol Rovers. The Opposition Hull City have been in good form in the Sky Bet Championship so far this season, and are lingering just outside the play-off spots in seventh ahead of this fixture. Like Norwich, they drew their third round tie last weekend, and have fallen on a tough patch in the league where they have just one win in four. One to Watch Aaron Connolly With England Under-21 internationals Jaden Philogene and Liam Delap injury worries for Hull City, Republic of Ireland international Aaron Connolly will be relied upon for goals. He has scored eight goals in 23 Championship appearances this season since joining permanently during the summer after an initial loan spell. More to follow
Another tough game but we have a pretty decent record against Hull . I like Friday night games as it doesn't tie up my Saturday & put me in a bad mood for the weekend
With Gunn & Sargent in the side we have a much better chance http://www.fawanews.com/Hull City vs Norwich City --- ENG 1.html
Feels like the strongest side we can field with this current squad, hopefully they show it! ON THE BALL CITY!!!
I like having McLean at CB, but where is Hanley, injured? edit: He still has the back problem and will be monitored for 10-14 days. I thought it was just a minor thing.
He picked up a slight back injury near the end of the cup match. It's said to be not serious but with Gibson and Batth on the bench there was no need to risk Hanley.
Yes. A back injury which Wagner said would be assessed over the next 10 days. Hah! You were editing as I wrote
But my fears had been allayed! "Wagner allayed fears Hanley’s stoppage time exit, with a back problem, was a concern." EDP
Neither Philogene nor Delap have made the Hull match squad tonight. Hard luck on them, but helpful to us.
