    Created plenty with limited attackers.

I think we have to remember TW has only been here since July 1st. The players have been asked to play something totally alien to them. IMO we'll give plenty of Championship teams problems.

Overall not a bad showing considering, really like the look of Drameh, Simons had a good game, and I thought McLaughlin did well. I think TW will be reasonably happy with what he saw.

Omur, Simons and Coyle. Fantastic. Drameh reminds me of Christie with his gangly legs promising 45. Be interesting how we get Giles, Coyle and Drameh in the side. Think Coyle could play anywhere

Plenty to like from today, you can see it's starting to come together. Interesting to see that Macca seemed the player who's most taken to the new style, taking the ball forward into midfield on many occasions. Simons looked handy, and maybe in this style might be a better option than Seri. Drameh plays like a younger, quicker version of Christie (for the avoidance of doubt, I think that's a good thing). The only disappointment was Longman, I really couldn't, and can't, understand the view that we should keep him. He's such a long way from a top 6 Championship player.

Really like the look of the right back so far and Omur brilliant as always. No service to Oscar but still totally anonymous - get some bodies in and some direct wingers either side!

Quite enjoyed that, thought there was quite a lot to work with. Always hard to judge when we're fielding first choice players and the opposition's fielding the reserves but 2nd half we were quite pleasing to watch. I like that Walter seems to be quite vocal on the sideline, players won't forget he's there watching.

Out of interest what happened with Vaughan Covil, the US lad who was injured for ages?

Don’t think anyone disputes that. Be interesting how it looks when everyone is firing.

What reserves were the Geordies fielding ? , I don’t think in the first half there were that many .

Fleming was good when he came on, think he’d be a better option for squad depth than Jacob

I agree. Jacob plays more like a centre half than a full back.

Jacob just really struggles to do the fundamentals under pressure. Every time he was pressed he gave the ball away, doesn’t back himself 1v1 with the ball like Fleming does. Not upto much going forward either.

Maybe Strasbourg will come knocking if Rosie rated him so much

Disappointing that Jacob seems to have gone backwards since last season.

Plenty to be happy about today though, several players gave a very good account of themselves.
