They may see it like that but we all know it is utter ****. They had never even heard of Hull City or even football until Adam Pearson was casting around for local people with money to help the ship from sinking. They freely admit that. They have zero knowledge or insight, so it's a bit rich (pardon the pun) if they claim the credit for the endeavours of the players, the abilities of the managers (appointed by Peter Chapman). All the Allams have done is loan the club tens of millions at 5% interest. No insight, no input and no meaningful contribution. Just a punitive loan. That's fine, if that's what they think makes them upstanding businessmen. (They have bought all their local recognition at the University and Castle Hill.) They have shown themselves to have no insight whatsoever in anything other than loaning money. They have alienated players, managers, supporters, employees, the PL, the FA, the Council and even local people with zero interest in sport who recognise ****s when they see one. My fear is the next owners won't be much better: just different. At least Adam Pearson gave the fans something to be proud of whatever division we were in: he used to hold regular meetings with the flask n grumble brigade ...until he had systematically listened to and eliminated every single source of discontent. No small achievement with our fan base. I know rugby fans who were jealous as **** cos they could see how well he was building City and how we were growing in size. No we have got the monkey well and truly off our back, we need to get a medium/long term plan in place which to me should mean taking over from where AP left off. Not so much the league placing, but the identity of the club and how it stands in the local landscape. We are aloof, hostile and distant. There is a lost connection between the club and its local community, all engineered by the Allams who coveted the polo crowd of well-heeled and compliant sycophants. That plan has left the club in ruins. New owners need to see the most important problem to fix: the fractured relationship. Sort that and the good times, the noise, the passion, the enjoyment will return - regardless of what division we're in.
I tell you what else will get boring, when we got down with a **** manager, **** owners and fans with their heads in the sand like you. Thats what i find boring. I'm usually positive but when the reality is total **** I don't pretend everything is OK. We've gone from a manager last season who was involved with European football season in season out to a yes man bollocks spouting idiot taking us down. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. I don't pretend things are ****ing great and i also totally also respect all the fans staying away out of principle
OLM is a good guy as are the other mods on here, you have to realise clownshoes like this Chazz are what stops people joining in with the debates. I tried to be respectful to him before but if you're not a happy clapper type then you get accused of 'sneering'. The fact is we are in a horrible position at the moment with a lot of players not up to scratch, and a manager who clearly is not fit for purpose. People might like the fact he (Adkins)posts pictures of his breakfast on Twitter, but thats the state of the world these days. We are royally ****ed at the moment and thats the truth of it
You seriously believe slut was a better manager for the champ/us then Adkins? Slut was clueless and yes he wasn't helped by the allams but he just wasn't upto the task at all, Adkins is a much better gaffer for us in the position we are then slut would ever have been
Just because someone doesn't have the same view or opinion as you doesn't make them a clownshoe (wtf kind of insult is that btw) we are not royally ****ed at all. The signings we have made are potentially very good and we looked pretty good on Tues. Crack on with your glass half empty and let the people with their glass half full do the same. You seem certain we will go down and im certain We won't.... That's the joy of football, everyone has a different view
Chazz has insulted me several times for expressing my opinion, I never retaliated until now. You haven't seen some of his other posts. As you can see I am reasonable with you as I am with everybody else. I think he was referring to my opinion about Stewart, who has been an absolute disgrace to the shirt when I've seen him play. I stood up for Harry Maguire when people on here were saying he was slow and useless, same with Clucas and countless others over the years. What I won't stand up for is people trying to belittle others opinions as 'sneering' . I doubt this fella has even paid money to see Stewart play. I don't even blame Stewart, he's not good enough but will be trying his best. Respect to yourself and have a nice weekend.
To be fair, 'clownshoes' is better than calling many fellow supporters '****s' just for having a different opinion. '****s' does though fit to the Allams. SpaceMan Tiger, what specifically makes you believe that Adkins is a yes man? I don't see that. Take for example his recent quotes in the HDM. He's making it quite clear, even publicly, what he wants and that what he currently has is not adequate. Not the quotes of a yes man. I liked Slutz, and in a different time it maybe could have worked out well for him and us, but wrong time wrong place.Surely anyone can see that. Adkins has brought a much needed positivity to the place, he knows English football inside out, he's slowly but surely rebuilding the utter shambles that had been created over the previous couple of years, and doing so on a shoestring. He posts stuff on twitter - great, at least it's someone from the club who's trying to engage and communicate and spread some positivity (yes, of course his focus should be on the players blah blah; it is. It doesn't need to stop him communicating now and then). I like him. Doing a good job in very trying, challenging circumstances. We should surely be behind him, not slagging him and making it even more difficult having to do his job under those twats.
There was a young girl at the legends game wearing a PSG top. No idea why. I just assume it was Neymar's daughter and he was there to learn something from Deano.
Depends if they stick the word mong on the end of clownshoe. I know which any parent or grandparent of a child with Down's Syndrome would judge to be the worse of the two. Being called a **** by some people on here is like a badge of honour.
I may be going out on a limb here, but maybe she had been on holiday to Paris? Has anyone spotted an AƩrospatiale Alouette III on Hymers fields?
