    Why West over South?
Probably taking my 4 year old grandson, but I normally go in North so was wondering whether to go in South or West with him.
It’ll be his first game and he may well get bored after a bit (probably just after I do!) so I’m interested in why you’ve gone for West
    Cheers

South is shut. So it's between west and east.

I've been to 2 or 3 Dutch stadiums, and they are all like this, very steep.

The south stand at Everton's new stadium will be the steepest in Europe. :emoticon-0125-mmm:

I’ve got a lot of respect for how many fans of Newcastle and indeed Sunderland take to meaningless away games, I’ve had nothing but good times in both cities from both sets of fans over the last few years, I just hope the unintelligible ****ers don’t pack out Ebenezers on Saturday.
    Edit. They will

Isn't it pride day too? Struggle to find anywhere to sit down and have a quiet drink and chat with mates.

No seat and you wouldn't want to sit on the piss soaked floor.

I guess it is to save money as you need less ground area to build a stand.

Could be, I'm fairly sure the reason they gave was to get the fans closer to the pitch, it's also single tiered. :emoticon-0125-mmm:

They have built the new stadium within an existing dock, so the land is constrained by that decision, not to save money.

I guess it the same outcome, lack of, or using less space if the stands are more steep.
