The first goal is a good finish to be fair. We gifted them goals 2 and 3. You can't do that at this level and expect anything from a game

No they don't (win 4-1 by luck). Newcastle deserved to win as they took the chances they had (2 gifts from us) but 4-1 perhaps flatters them a little. Our most disjointed performance of the season today

If I remember rightly Elmo was asking for the ball.

Like most modern teams we try to keep it on the floor when we can and don't favour just punting free kicks into the box from the halfway line. The error was perhaps that we waited for Davies to go up before taking it short, but even then it wasn't a problem until Elmo lost the ball.

We're a tiny team, we only win headers when we're unmarked. Corners and crosses from near the byline are a decent chance but free kicks on half way are almost impossible to score from. Their back 4 are facing the right way to just head it out easily. That's why almost every team tries to take free kicks short when they can, to try and get behind teams and get them facing their own goal and open up gaps. If City played the way the KC crowd wanted them to we'd basically be a much less effective West Ham.

God I forgot about him. What a **** he was. Booking Jelavic for handball when he blocked Krul's clearance mid-jump from about 6 yards away. How the **** was he meant to avoid it hitting his hand from that range, if indeed it did? But the worst thing was early on at either 0-0 or 0-1, Sissoko gave away a throw and then just booted it up the line in a clear attempt to waste time. Meyler turned to the ref to say "You gonna get on top of it then knobhead?" And he just put his finger to his lips and 'shushed' Meyler. What a ****ing ****. Do your job and people won't have to remind you how to do it you lazy ****. When people are cheating deal the approriate punishment. Why are refs so confident in making big decisions at this level but yet when someone blatantly cheats in a minor way they go out of their way to ignore and therefore promote it? It's like they're scared to be the first one to appear 'fussy' about obvious acts of cheating yet they love being fussy about petty little things like Jelavic's handball. ****ing hate this about football.

I spent most of the game staring at the row of Geordie hotties in the bottom-left corner of the away end. The brunette in the big specs and the one with the dirty blonde hair (like a sexy baby lamb) were my favourites

I often use sentences involving the words 'giving', 'large', 'pink' and 'women', but no

Strange game and one I enjoyed for the most part, if Bruce had scored then they wouldn't have got the first, and the result could have been completely different. One to put down to experience, and one which might just focus the players minds that it is not as easy to get over the line as maybe they thought it would be. A wake up call.

A Quality Laugh if nothing else.
The game was very enjoyable actually - result permitting of course. Had that element of pathos and fawlty towers to it with Pardew doing his Basil Fawlty impression. Never has a 4-1 game been overshadowed by such a sideshow @ the kc.

    However,

How anyone can say that Newcastle deserved the scoreline and were the better team is simply not true. Yes from the 55th minute when they made it 3-1 Hull were down and out and Newcastle took over...BUT prior to that moment it was still up for grabs. Hull City as a team lost the game on basic and i mean basic errors.

    1) Alex Bruce missed from within the 6 yard area, a chance that a blindman could have scored from. That in turn would have stopped the move and 1st goal from Sissoko and Newcastle.

    2) Whilst i accept that mis-hit backpasses happen, Figueroa should not and did not need to play that ball. He had other options. So no goal No.2 for the toon boys.

    3) When you have a free kick inside the other teams box you launch it into there box. End of and simples. The mess we made of it led to goal No.3

The goal that Davies scored just after half-time IMO should have sealed the game in our favour. end of.

It is over and we move on. Put it down to a bad day at the office. Simples.

Talking with a group of the Toon lads afterwards even they were shocked at how easy we gave it to them. But sad that the Pardew incident would take all the headlines.

But thanks Alan Pardew for your comedy classic moment. Dont forget to say sorry to your bank manager either and enjoy your new seat in the stands. 10 game ban at least i would suggest. Lmao.
