LOL at these bitches going on about luck.

You missed good chances, we pounced on your mistakes and hit you on the counter. We set up our team well to take advantage of your lack of pace.

Apart from the 4th which was a half-arsed attempt at defending, Newcastle didn't really create any of their chances - we gifted them possession when everyone was in an attacking position and they just had half a pitch to run into. That and a Figueroa back-pass.

What Bruce was doing with that freekick, who knows?!!

Our midfield was totally over run with Hudd and Meyler giving the ball away to easily to often.Decision making by some of our players was rank amateur and cost us 3 goals.Missed easy chances by our forwards early on saw us go in 2-0 down when it could have been 3-1 up.We appear to have several players with very tired legs and we can't afford to rest them.I saw no reason to play Rosy in front of Figgy as Newcastle had no threat on their right flank .Figgy could have been left out with Rosy playing at back with Boyd in front of him.SB should have changed a winning team and chosen one to suit the opposition.

Just a very bad day at the office for City - at least we still made chances and look capable of scoring nowadays. Onwards and upwards (but Figgy could definitely do with a rest)

Blaming Bruce for taking a short free kick is nonsense. He gave it to the usually trustworthy Elmo who made a mistake and we conceded. City fans are obsessed with getting everything straight in the box and people always groan when we take a short corner.

Just listen to Bruces post match interview with Burnsy. Think it summed the game up perfectly , as ever his interviews leave little else to add.

Elmo was marked, hence his hurried punt with the ball. Huddlestone came back to take it, but Bruce waved him away.

Everyone was up for it, you could see someone was on Elmo and as soon as it went to him, it left us open to their counter.

Yes because we scored from a set piece, Bruce should of scored from a set piece, Elmo missed a sitter from a good cross. Our best chances came from getting the ball into the box, even Chesters at the end. You have to play on percentages our best chances in a game from set pieces so why on earth would you play it short? Surely as a footballer you would know where your best chances are coming from? You could even see Elmo was under pressure. Your CB partner has gone up, Bruce's best thing was to get it forward not leave himself isolated to a bad cross from Elmo.

I think the QF should be a great chance to freshen things up in midfield. Livermore, Meyler and Thudd got completely outplayed today, looked clueless and were constantly 2 yards behind play.

What I'd give for a Tiote, he totally bossed it today.

I tried to defend him and he pushed me away with his head.

    I feel betrayed.

You've got it again fatty. I have never seen a side pick up as much second ball as today. They got everything. Plus that de Jong won most of the ball off cd in The air that never happens.

    2-0 :) Cheers.

The word I found myself thinking over and over again today was 'hustle'. We had no hustle at all. We didn't against Southampton and we didn't today. I think we need to inject some Quinn and some Boyd into proceedings.

today and against Southampton we saw what a mid-table midfield looks like. Consistently not getting the second ball is not down to luck. Southampton and Newcastle United showed us what we need to get out of the bottom half of the table into the lower reaches of the top half.

The first goal conceded was fair enough, it still required a good finish.
The second goal was just ridiculous.
The third goal was the one that pissed me off the most, why make the effort and pushing all our players up in to the box to just make a short pass? If you're going to waste it, just ****ing punt it up field into the box.
The fourth was just terrible defending.

The third goal unfortunately killed the game for us. We were finally making inroads to possible getting back in to the game.

Mistake after mistake. Kevin Friend is a **** anarl.

Newcastle deserve some credit today. They stopped us playing in the second half.

After our goal we were woeful.
