Seems like whoever we play knows we lack penetration and given half a chance they will score seeing as our defence sucks big time
An observation now.... when we won at Blackpool after some harsh words were said in the dressing room after the Huddersfield debacle... and then at Rotherham, there was the high fiving for blocks, defensive tackles etc etc... Seri comes out in the press and says loving Dawson he has us running harder, further, winning second balls pressing... All of a sudden a new manager is introduced and you've just seen a first half Huddersfield display... back to running 5k instead of 12k etc etc...
Started well enough, but they looked the more likely to score on the counter, we just don't create enough. Need to change things at halftime, Pelkas on for Tufan and Longman on for Oscar. Fleming has been poor, better to go back to Jones on and Greaves as left back.
Why was Pelkas not in the starting lineup? I missed the Blackburn game but from what I’d seen previously suggested he was at least daring to have a go. As people have said also, we pass too slowly. And too much. I will never understand the point of it if it doesn’t lead to chances. If we were 2/3 nil up then fair enough.
Those 2 have 2 assists between them, I don't see them as being the complete answer. Oscar needs a proper 10 behind him to run beyond, he can't run to save his life.
Since they were injured he’s lived on scraps bet he gets more in the chippiie than he does with this lot
I'm no tactician but it's just a fact that Oscar scored when they were on the pitch and he hasn't since they got injured.
Passing to feet rather than passing into space... Because when we have the ball the movement has all gone. It's like they don't want the ball. More than half of them have been anonymous. Only Doc, Christie and Seri seem to want to show for the ball or do anything with it but they're having to do so much between them. A player like Sinik or Pelkas could come on and completely transform this.
