whomevers, not having a small station when the track is 30 metres next to the stadium is incompetence

The council wanted one, Railtrack or whoever it was then, wanted an extortionate amount to construct a simple platform and the council quite rightly refused to be overcharged. It wasn’t incompetence, it was greed.

Who would build it? It would be Network Rail and they would also want an extortionate amount. They wouldn’t make a killing either.

How many people would use it? It's a 20 min walk from the station, lots of people don't travel via the station. It's just not a long enough distance imo.
