Tip of the week: When you get a free kick near the halfway line, don't take it quickly and knock it back into your own half, try hitting it into the opponent's penalty area and hope it creates havoc.

The council wanted one, Railtrack or whoever it was then, wanted an extortionate amount to construct a simple platform and the council quite rightly refused to be overcharged. It wasn’t incompetence, it was greed.

Who would build it? It would be Network Rail and they would also want an extortionate amount. They wouldn’t make a killing either.
How many people would use it? It's a 20 min walk from the station, lots of people don't travel via the station. It's just not a long enough distance imo.
I never went to Boothferry Park by train even though Cottingham had a railway station, it was easier to get one bus than two trains.
