Don't suppose you could ask them for some lessons on ritual suicide could you? Do us all a favour.

I'm wondering why we played so well today. Koren came back but didn't have one of his better games. I don't think maclean or Stewart do us any favours because they give the ball away so much !

Mixed feelings today, it's good we are back on track and nice to see some goals, King in particular looks like one we want to keep next season. Just a shame that we couldn't manage any points in the last few and we could still have had a shout of play-offs.

That definitely proved the players do care and it's got do be down to confidence, notice how our play got so much better after that first goal. I'm a happy man tonight, we could have thrown it away at the end and drawn or even lost and I'd still be happy, a fighting performance was the most important thing for me and that's what we gave. The players showed commitment, desire, determination, willingless and tried their very best. I was certain the dressing room had fallen to bits and none of the players could give a **** anymore, and that game just proved otherwise, to me that's all that really matters today.

Onwards and upwards for next season!!

I'd agree with this about Brady. His crossing needs work lately (I thought it was good before but today it was pretty poor) but as you say his effort is as good as anyone and if a tricky winger type has that attitude it's a big bonus because they are often the lazy sort of player.

I'd agree with that. We didn't waste so many good positions today and fail to turn them into chances but Evans missed two absolute sitters. Also agree about King, I've said a few times lately that he can obviously shoot based on the ones he hit against Southampton and he did the same thing today but an inch lower into the corner.

I loved it today, it was really entertaining compared to our usual home games. Boro probably played a part in that by going for the win rather than sitting back but we used our wingers much better than normal particularly King.

Definately, and i think one of the things was not getting enough men forward, at least Cairney and indeed Evans both got forward and supported Koren and the wingers. However i still think we missed Mckenna, especially first half where their midfield just ran riot at times. I agree it was more exciting but Boro really should have sown the game up at half time with the balls they put through to their striker. Yet second half we controlled it from start to finish and executed the way the 4-2-3-1 is meant to be played where players aren't static they move and they run and take on men just not pass it sideways.

agreed, sounds like today the players really played to put some pride back in the shirt, to quote a great man..
good to hear, just makes it more frustrating tho that they couldnt even pick up a draw at milwall and against coventry and wed still be in with half a chance...

I just realised in that post you quoted I said King in my first paragraph but I meant Brady whose crossing needs work not King! I've edited the original now. I'm wondering if Evans/Cairney might be the CM partnership for the future? Weird considering McKenna has been one of the best players all season but I just think for the system we need some attacking midfielders who get forward.
