Bizarre decision not to play Slater. I think we are all in agreement with that….which would make a first.
Were they??? I hadn’t realised. Our north stand fans throwing bottles to our east stand fans?? Yeah re the kid. Not sure what I made of Ingram posing for the photo?! There was a teenager in the last match who did the same near the centre circle. Seems to be a trend.
I think that Eaves had a good game for him. I thought he controlled the ball and laid it off better when it came to him than he used to but I think we all agree that he has his limitations and isn’t the striker answer moving forwards.
They’re proof you don’t have to spend much to be successful in this league. Throwing money at the squad isnt the answer plenty of gems that could be uncovered at lower levels still
What progress in defence or offence can you see?? what progress from the coaching? And why hasn’t this resulted in more consistent performances?? Shota is grant mk2
we conceded 3 goals today….where’s my white stick and what about the offensive coaching improvements??? **** all has changed. Nothing
That's lazy analysis. How many clear cut chances did they create? In the first half of the season we were given up chances at will. Are you really going to say there was no improvement over the 2 Fulham games, or the 2 Sheff Utd, the 2 Coventry games, the 2 QPR games or the 2 P'boro games to name but a few. We've improved a hell of a lot as a team this year
To be fair, despite the early goal, at 1 nil down, I thought we grew right into it, was a good game, we had good chances, the 2nd killed us. Both avoidable, self inflicted goals, but Ingram should have saved the first, shouldn’t be getting beat at his near post. Then came the 3rd, game over. Bizarre subs bringing Thudd on when game was dead, better using him from the start for 60 mins. Think Baxter will be back in net next game, better, quicker distribution than Ingram, his distribution too slow, laboured, although if nobody showing, options are limited. Very disappointing afternoon, at least Shota now has a few weeks to try and fathom out the home performances, whether physical or psychological. Not suggesting Wilks is the answer, suddenly he seems to have disappeared, anyone heard where he is?
All those performances I mentioned were under Shota compared to the reverse fixture which was under Grant. I wasn't changing the argument, you just don't have a valid one and you're going way OTT after a great win against Cov midweek
In a results sense we haven’t but when you break down the performances as a whole we probably have. Shape has improved but not enough quality in the squad to build upon that in the final third.
