I think it's wrong to blame Greaves for the second goal. He's out on the wing because he's been dragged out there engaging people. We were marking them man for man so his job was to go out and engage, not to stay in the centre back position at all costs. He did this a few times in the game. You could blame the strategy (though I think it'd be harsh because in general it worked and also worked very well against Southampton). Or you could blame the players in earlier in the sequence allowing it to get to a point where Greaves has to step out there (I think that's what LR said the problem was) or you could maybe blame the other defenders for not plugging the gap left by Greaves' absence, but I don't think Greaves himself can reasonably be blamed.
Thank **** somebody else sees what I see... It was a clear Penalty to me,we wouldn't be discussing it if we'd have got it.
It was extremely soft, their player was almost falling over before contact. I've seen them turned down. Irrespective of that decision , I thought the ref was appalling and lost control on several occasions with some totally incomprehensible decisions for both sides.
I thought it was a hard game to ref. The pen decisions, a lot of physicality, Leicester players trying to ref it for him. Lot of clever players on the pitch who know how to win fouls, like Coyle and Slater for us and several for them.
We can agree to disagree. Just out of interest, what did you think of Slaters penalty? Inside or outside when he was pushed?
One of the worst things about this board Even more tedious than howdens hatred of rosenior is the constant whinging and whining of the ref As far as I’m aware there has never been a ref in this country done for taking a bribe the refs make honest decisions they don’t cheat they may get some wrong and miss some stuff That’s human error and it’s usually because players ours and theirs are sly and cheat Nothing more no nothing less There’s no conspiracy against us FACT
I'm in the South Stand so live, I've really no idea. I haven't watched it back yet on TV so I'll have to pass. I'm not saying the ref was biased, just very inconsistent with his decisions.
100%. It’s the “wrong” decisions that make post match worthwhile. The journey home, or after match drinks, discussing how much of a **** the ref was, what he gave us, what he didn’t, what he missed, what he didn’t miss, are all preferable to discussing how long we had to wait before VAR made a decision. They’re not perfect, that’s part of what makes football great. VAR & those who support it can **** themselves. Long may calling the ref a useless **** continue
Greaves constantly gets himself out of position and isn't fast enough to get back - he got well and truly rinsed a few times yesterday - if he's going to chase all over the place at least stop the man with the ball - he gets turned far too easily and it happens more often than not - I appreciate I'm one of the few Greaves critics but don't try and defend the indefensible
Get with the program, Seri can do no wrong. I wonder if that AI thing can work out how many good things he has done compared to bad ones.
Speaking of the ref. I thought, maybe mistakenly, that it was a straight yellow card if a player runs to the opposition supporters after scoring and over celebrates, winds them up. In which case, as the Yorkshire Post report mentions, Vardy was close to a second yellow and off you go after his performance in front of the south stand. Of course, I accept, he could be so delusional he thinks everybody loves him. The reaction of the south stand would suggest not. If he had gone I think Seri would have been joining him later for not stepping away from their free kick
he ran to the Family / Children South Stand and gave the knob head sign to them - if anyone's a knob head Vardy more than demonstrated that he wears that hat
His wife's got some bottle. She was sat in amongst the Lester fans. On another matter. I thought the ref had a decent game, but defo squared up on the pens.
So, he was aware it was the family/ children stand? Or was it to him just the stand behind the goal where he had scored?
Defo didn’t If so Every time a ref gives a penalty he will go up the other end and give the opposition one too?? Really? ****ing really that’s mersonesque
No, because he ran over to their fans in that end. Maybe he had been getting abuse from the South Stand? You know how how febrile and intimidating it can get in there.
