Well Livermore did stop it, that was down to us. We defended brilliantly, whether you missed or not is down to your players. Ours did their job and did it well, to say we were average isn't really a fair reflection. In the first half you had a period of domination, but that's always going to happen in this league, it wasn't ever going to be one sided in a game where we didn't make any subs and had a midfielder in defence.
The second half was more in favour of yourselves but seriously, did you just not bother watching the first half? We missed 3/4 sitters.
a ll a bit harsh really, someone scoring less that 5 has got to play like a proper numpty. The game was pretty close and ultimately it came down to you not taking a couple of chances, conceding from a set piece and some iffy defending following Kaspers helpful throw. Not like we dominated you and should have bagged 4 or 5. Still whenever anyone's team loses there is a natural reaction to over react and smash the players so no surprise
At the start we were edgy but that's not surprising as players were in a system getting used to new roles in some instances (like Clucas and Livermore). Once settled we looked every bit as good. Vardy mishit an easy chance, but we put Leicester under pressure and caused errors. Very arrogant to not give credit.
I think the chances created were of a similar number. We had 2/3 and so did Leicester. Vardy and Fuchs probably should have scored and they shouldn't have had a penalty. I think a draw wouldn't have been a harsh result. I think if I had to rate our performance, I'd give it a 7 in normal circumstances. Considering everything that's going on, I'd give it a 9/9.5.
****ing hell 4's and 5's!! Ranieri shoulda played or brought Ulloa on early second half and played him on Jake.
Given how patched up our team was I think we deserve every bit of praise that has been put our way. We had on paper the toughest match against the current champions. We had a midfielder playing in central defence, our second choice keeper, a winger who was playing non league football 4 seasons ago playing as a holding midfielder and a right winger playing at right back. Our bench resembled an U21s, so yeah I don't think we're being overly generous on ourselves. The media and even our own fans had pencilled this as a defeat. Your captain (Morgan) even said in his interview post match you were second best in every department. That's before we even take into consideration what is going on in the background at our club. We deserve all the plaudits on offer as our band of merry men prevented you from playing.
I think the FA should now award teams points for 'missed chances' it seems very unreasonable to award points on the current goals scored basis.
Foxestalk have rated you as an average+ to good Premier League side. I don't particularly understand why you lot have taken offence to that You absolutely deserve a lot of plaudits and you've received them on the match thread over there.
I got a fair bit of ****e for saying similar last season. Football is about scoring more goals than the opposition, nothing more nothing less. The best team is the one that does that simple thing, not one who has 70% possession of sideways passes or even 30 shots at goal that don't go in. Unless the officials do something absolutely ridiculous that is not in keeping with the laws of the game, then by definition the best team always wins.
Absolute, the game boils down to scoring goals. You got two and we were gifted one. I'm not hiding that fact. But when you're debating performances, I think you played good and I thought we played poor. Gotta say I'm amazed at the overreaction to that.
You fully deserved victory in the end. I'm only stating fact that at half time it could easily have been 3-0 had we taken the chances that we normally do. Our second half performance was absolutely abject and you deserved the victory.
How could it? We scored a goal you ****ing tit. You score & our's are chalked off? Stop been dosile ****.
