I think the marking structure is something like; 10- Outstanding 9- Brilliant 8- Great 7- Good 6- Average + 5- Average - 4- Poor 3- Bad 2- Dismal 1- Shocking None of them played above their average. Not even close. Shame about Hernandez because he's had a brilliant pre-season. I personally think he's more of a right back though. Huth will be welcomed back on Saturday. I thought Drinkwater was up there with Okazaki and Musa although Drinkwater is usually much, much better. Kings anonymous display meant he had the job of two men. I'd much prefer to see Amartey play with Drinkwater as he's got much more presence.
Between average+ and good is a fair assessment. Considering you could easily have been starting the second half 3-0 down had any of our lot took their chances.
But that's you're fault, not ours. We kept you at bay. We shut you down and took our chances, id say that was a good performance.
A kick (or miss kick) shouldn't result in a dramatic sway of ratings. We produced 3/4 really good chances. You produced one. So an average+/good rating is fair when you take that into account. Out of interest, what would you rate your players at using that rating system?
Missing chances was our fault, not yours. We missed 3/4 superb chances and there was nothing you could do to stop them other than hope we missed the target. To say you shut us down is really wide of the mark.
I did, I saw us cutting you apart in the first half. Like I say, if we'd brought our shooting boots with us we'd have been well clear by half time. Missing those chances were down to us being poor rather than you being "great/outstanding".
Exactly, you missed. To score you need to put the ball into the white rectangular shape. Anything else is a miss and not a goal. Games aren't won or lost on misses, they are won and lost on goals. We scored two from open play and you scored one from a very dubiously awarded penalty.
Should have made it more clear that I was talking about the first half. You, of course, produced one more in the second half.
But you're upgrading your score because we missed chances. If we hadn't had those chances then I would have fully supported a 8/9 out of ten rating.
We took control by the second half and had equal play in the first. If Leicester supporters can't recognise that then I think they are overrating their players and need a wakeup call.
The referee was shocking. Fuchs should have been sent off considering he was on a booking but his first yellow was as soft as they come. I can't stand Mike Dean. Him and Moss are comfortably the worst of an awful bunch.
