It was pretty flats for 75% of the game granted. The other 25% was fairly lively. Don't kid yourself that your support was loud though because it wasn't. 5 minutes of that ****e great escape thing and that was about it.
But you didn't. Not that I can recall. In fact to say you hadn't won for so long and the team had to dig in during the second half I'd say your support, or lack of it, was utter ****. That's the last I'm saying on the subject because I can't be arsed to get in an argument with you of all people.
I have to say that my first post, and only the fourth post of this thread, summed yesterday up completely. Why anyone would think that it's a good idea to play Livermore at rightback is completely beyond me, especially when Livermore's proper position in the team is being occupied by a player who has played, effectively, in the rightback position for his country, that is just sheer ****ing madness I'm afraid. I'll defend Steve Bruce to the hilt but that is one decision that he got desperately wrong. I'm now hoping that his team selection for the Everton game is chosen on the same basis that he chose yesterdays, in that the best eleven, those that were on the pitch for the last 20 minutes, start the game, anything other than that and I will begin to question his sanity.
Obviously not, I'm already here. I'd agree that £35 is too much, though unfortunately it's the norm nowadays, even Burley is that much and it's a complete ****-hole. The away fans normally ousting the home fans, at pretty much every ground, but your lot were one of the quietest this season(though West Brom pip you to the title).
They most certainly didn't out sing us, in fact I said in the car leaving the game that Lesta were probably the quietest aways side this season.
That's all the allocation we were given chap, a real smash and grab from us yesterday. Nicked a goal, weathered the storm and rode our luck but no win in 13 games I dont care! Good luck for the rest of the season and hopefully it'll be a Premiership game next season!
For some reason Leicester decided on 1500 then - no idea why? I knew of a few people who couldn't get tickets so would have thought we'd have sold out.
Am I going to get shot down in flames if I say McGregor could of done better with their goal, he has no spring in his step always flat footed, it was obvious where he was gonna shoot, hes all left foot. Also the naivety of when Bruce came back on he was half dazed, Davies told McGregor to slow it down. So he decided to kick the ball which didn't reach the half way line we lost the ball, missed the challenge and the ball was in our net.
Unfortunately you're right about McGregor. The shot was always coming, he had ages to set himself and when it came it had accuracy but no power. 9 times out of 10 a decent keeper would have kept that out and I think McGregor knew afterwards that he should have.
It's happening time and time again though. He looks as if hes too small or his arms aren't long enough, or like you said his anticipation is poor.
I think McGregor's composure is his biggest problem. When it comes to reflex saves he's as good as anyone, but when he has time to think about the situation he seems to panic.
On what planet did this happen. Apart from celebrating a goal, you basically only sang at full time. The atmosphere wasn't the greatest for large parts and even then the away support couldn't be heard (and I sit next to it!)
I saw a picture taken my the press from behind Mahrez just at the point of him striking the ball, and McGregor was unsighted as Davies was between him and the ball. He was partly unsighted and saw it after it was struck, which delayed his move towards the ball.
Hull City lost the game as they did not take the clear cut chances created. It is as simple as that. Leicester got lucky with a good strike but other than that they were lucky very lucky on the day. Still think that Leicester look nailed on to finish bottom. Twt as always.
How is it luck? I hate it when managers use this word to defend their team. It's not luck that the ball kept out of our goal. Our goal didn't take a massive deflection off someones arse to loop the goalkeeper. You missed some sitters, you didn't even hit the target most of the time. That's not luck, it's bad play. We scored a fine goal, sat back for the win and got it. You need to take your chances to win football games and you didn't. You lost because you couldn't score, not because of luck.
