I must admit, I was pleased at the time, Bielsa supposedly spoke on the phone to both persuading them to join. Maybe he was caught out by how unfit Augustin was, I know many have said size wise he looks okay but he is a good stone at least heavier than he appears on last years clips.

I’ve said it before, IF we get promoted and depending on if Radz stays or sells us, I really don’t mind if Bielsa feels it’s job done and leaves. He is certainly amongst the best we’ve had but he doesn’t handle the likes of Saiz, Brown, Augustin, Pontus, Nketiah or Poveda very well.

If Rads decides to remain we’re going to need Bielsa as there won’t be mass investment. Someone really needs to get both Orta and Bielsa in the same room and ask WTF is going on with our transfers though.

 

We need to get to a position where we’ve an owner capable of bidding for and buying quality. Scouting along trying to persuade clubs to part with out of form players invariably won’t work. Villa have proven ffp is irrelevant in pl so if we get there, we certainly don’t need orta or rads holding us back. Transfers over last two seasons have for the most part been useless. Big times ahead though, let’s hope our transfer business improves dramatically

I think you’re right, I’m sure Phillips and Klich are first down on the team sheet and the rest of the squad is built around the central backbone. Before this season started the message from Bielsa was keep Phillips, get Harrison and Costa on loan and I’ll stay.

We were impressive for the second half of the game yesterday, we could have easily had 6-7 goals. Which reminds me....

Sky yesterday quoted a computer stat (I can’t remember the name of), basically it counts and calculates the chances missed that were easier to score from than miss, chances that are put away the highest percentage of times. It calculated we should have 17 more goals than we actually have this season. I’d like to know how those goals would have converted to points

But then too, you'd need to know how many points less if any We'd have due to teams missing sitters against us.
Add in the fact Kiko has cost us around 7 points aswell.

 

I honestly can’t think of too many, teams have scored more than they should when you look at how we limit chances against.
