1st half we were way off the pace both energy and quality wise. We still managed to get a goal and hit the woodwork. 2nd half was outstanding. Costa and Harrison came in to the game and Klich and Hernandez took control in midfield. We bossed it and deserved the extra goals. Costa looks silky smooth when Leeds are on top. Some great passes hidden in there. Firstly, great result. Secondly we had to turn it around after a poor first half. Job done! 1 more game in the bag.
He was obviously bricking it tbf so he’s excused a few wayward passes. Great for the lad to get his first league start and clean sheet under his belt.
Very good result makes for a contented weekend the team did well another 3 points in the bag Would be soooooooooooooo nice if we could do the same again next week Have to admit to a personal interest
Well Preston or Fulham are going to be losing ground, I’d prefer a Preston win, shame Brentford are winning
pleased for the young keeper keeping a clean sheet, he looked calm the few times he was put under any pressure, couple of kicks into touch but no worries there, as we saw what he could do at Arsenal, that will come with more game time. Roberts, how I wish this lad could stay fit, he has all the skill and reads the game so well, the way he got away from Pennington for his second was the stuff of a natural goalscorer. Klich Motm for me
Afternoon all, I thought Meslier looked decent for what he had to do. I actually thought Philips had an average game, he got caught in possession a couple of times which could have been dangerous. I'm not getting carried away because I thought Hull were very poor, they didn't threaten at all. I thought it was one of the best games for our wide men, both Costa and Harrison were causing problems. Admittedly the end product was still missing much of the time but they pulled defenders out of position. I thought Roberts was a different class when he came on. He put himself about as much as Bamford, I think he's quicker than Bamford and most importantly he's a goalscorer. Did you notice him point to where he wanted the ball for his 2nd? If he stays fit I don't think Bamford or JKA starts. Great win and now a great weekend. Come on Wigan!
Actually, if I'm being picky, I don't think it answered any questions about our keeper, even Rachubka would have been alright today as the defence kept them away from goal so well.
