Got some good German friends from Nuremberg, went to a big party there last summer and we were presented full regalia for the party, they are very traditional people, real sense of patriotism. They know how to throw a party, do the Germans.

Actually met some Leeds fans on there way back from the pre season tour in my mates pub there, they said it was the best night of the tour, met them again at a couple of games last season.

I didn't know that to be honest and I'm not too bothered either. Our clubs are not rivals and never have been. I once went to Elland Road to watch you play Liverpool, very early 70's. We had played on the Friday night at Bradford. The old scratching shed was still there and the ground was packed with a big crowd outside on the car park behind the scratching shed unable to get in. In all honestly I left at half time. The stewards thought I was mad but I had no interest in the game at all. It pissed me off them and it still does today that we have people of a certain age in Hull who claim to support Leeds U. I suppose it's the same in every city.
Just got back from the game tonight. It was the tamest 'Yorkshire derby' that I can remember. A truly awful game. We looked and played like a bag of ****e and you were only slightly better. Football's ****ed mate.
No edge tonight, no bite, awful referee too who stopped the game every couple of minutes and two very ordinary teams to be honest.
Sheffield United away for me ( and us) on Saturday so much of the same. It's football but not as we know it. Good luck for the rest of the season, enjoyed the chat.

We were not at our best tonight but to describe us as only slightly better than you is an insult, seriously I’m going to be amazed if you stay up playing like that.

What was embarrassing was the amount of empty seats in the home ends. <ok>

I didn't mean it as an insult. I'll be amazed if we stay up playing like that too.

Yes mate, they are a sensitive bunch, they love slagging Leeds off but can't take it when they get it back , they should be hating their bigger neighbours Grimsby not us

Back in the 70s Alf, they'd support the scum when Leeds United were playing them. <doh>

Osca Wild is credited with being the one who first said "Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit" but the full saying is " Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.........but the highest form of intelligence".

Does make you wonder about those who attempt Sarcasm, doesn't it Marcos.

Sarcasm is a bottom of the barrel attempt to gain cheap laughs at someone elses expense..........mmmm, not much intelligence on display in that instance then.......:emoticon-0148-yes:
