It was better. A clip around the head from that man mountain Sargeant Sargent, an offer from him to go round the back and take his uniform off and sort it out man to manif you wanted to show him how tough you were (an offer no one took, him up on) and being booted down the stairs was preferable to being sat in that cell they built on the South Stand concourse whilst they checked you were who you said you were when things became more official. Never into skinhead things. After years arguing with my old man about haircuts when the Stones first appeared I wasn't cutting it all off now ?I was old enough to please myself. Made the few of us with long hair stand out like sore thumbs unfortunately.
You were saying we weren't thing like Bournemouth and Norwich. Your rationale being Norwich had had quite a few years in the top flight. I just pointed out Bournemouth hadn't either. So why compare us to those two?
Bournemouth and Norwich may play attacking football, but they also have a tendency to over commit in terms of the number of players they throw forward. For example against Newcastle at least 4 of the Geordies goals came from counter attacks when Norwich lost the ball in the Newcastle half, For all of their attacking intent, I don't see either of them staying up this season.
I remember one match - which was the match after Sunderland brought about 10,000 and the cops disappeared - and City fans were taunting the police and the police kept grabbing fans and throwing them out. One copper was in the middle of Kempton and I kicked him from behind. He turned round and knew it was me and started to walk towards me but luckily all the City fans charged at him from the side and pushed him away.
Well it's not like it's ever going to be fair. If somebody does act "brave" they would have 10 coppers on them. Maybe some people think being brave is hiding behind a computer screen?
He provided the cross for the first goal! Scored by the legendary Alex Bruce. He wasn't the worst - I just feel chopping and changing formations and personnel doesn't do the team any favours at all.
Clucas played his part in two of the goals, he's a player that needs peoples support to boost his confidence and will only get better when the likes of Anchorstone aren't pulling him down
Last nights goals are up on Youtube, very impressed with Akpoms movement for his goal also Clucas instrumental in two of the goals if not all of them as far as I could see
It does seem that players like McGregor, Bruce, Meyler and Clucas get picked on a lot even though they seem to perform just as well as most of the other players.
There's a decent Sky clip here: http://www.skysports.com/football/n...entry-debut-tuesdays-football-league-moments?
Perhaps he shouldn't chop and change after that result, but then that leaves Maloney and, to a lesser extent, Diame out in the cold, and then there's always the high probability that he'll be wanting to put Huddlestone back in.
I'll give him one thing - it's the first time I've ever seen anyone score a header with the top of their head
Took 20 seconds Char, not the afternoon. I know how to use a PC mate, unlike you it seems. I typed in 'crybaby', which is a pretty good description of you right now.
