The funny thing is if we lose this and struggle over the next few the same people that rubbished all those xG tables that suggested we'd been riding our luck will be searching for answers to why the sudden dip in form.

 

we rode our luck recently but on Saturday we were found out. i expect that to continue and it will until we improve our field game. We need someone to take the game by the scruff the neck. Zambrano did i last year against QPR when he came on at half time. At the moment we dont have a player like that who wins the ball and gets things moving (without passing it and giving it away)

Ipswich have some very good finishers, a bit like us. Philogene for one. If they get 20-odd shots again then you can easily see him burying a couple. We can't be that open again in this one.

 

I can see us losing this one to be honest, we desperately need some larkers back.

 

I guess we can’t drop Destan after his recent goals, but I think we’re more effective in this injury-hit version with Joseph leading the line. If he’s on the left, he’s less effective because he has to think more about positioning and defending. Up top, he can pressure defenders and run them ragged. If Greaves gets him in a headlock and gives away a pen, even better. It would also allow Ndala to be on from the start, and leave Destan in reserve as a goal-scoring sub.

 

Ndala keeps the ball like he did when he came on , before that it came straight back on Saturday .

 

Joseph is our best striker it makes sense to me to find space for other players rather than moving Joseph to make space. You want your best players in their best positions.
