Match Day Thread Hull City v Everton

I liked Everton until i went there and met their fans.now I prefer liverpool fans even though I have been there and met their fans too.i even lived in Liverpool as a youngster and I know the people are fantastic.the Everton fans really disappointed me

 

This fixture in 2014 was the first time I attended the KC to see City play a match in the PL . Have since only been to one other at the KC which maintained my record of never seeing City win a game in Hull since I left the UK 50 years ago . Currently it stands at 11 matches with 7 losses. The last goal I saw them score in Hull was in 1985.


Today I hopefully believe we will at least share the spoils.

 

That might have been our last league game of the season before the Cup Final.

 

Hernandez tore them apart about two years ago to the day. Don't think he scored but he was immense . If only...

 

Yes we were, then they came back and got 2 in the second half and we won 3-2.

 

I didn't realise Everton had such a small fan base.

 

It was. I came back for a couple of weeks before the Cup Final and took in this match as well as a Rovers home match and Hull FC away at Leeds. Rovers were the only team to win.

 

Everton's travelling support is fantastic, as you'll see again tonight, as we could have sold double the allocation

 

The first time I saw City playing Everton, it was a mint experience.

 

Anyone else read the adds and think of Phil Brown?

 

I can vouch for that as I was among them at Wembley in 1966 when you came back from 2-0 to beat Sheffield Wed. Must concede I was supporting the Yorkshire club though!

 

The Wednesday fans still haven't forgiven us for that I'm told. Before my time unfortunately

 

2-1 City.

It's an easy mistake now they're not on tv as much.

The only other FA Cup Final I attended followed a similar script. Yorkshire team took a 2-0 lead and were beaten 2-3. I shed a bit of a tear after this one.

 

Nice to see a bit of optimism , we have been far better recently and not got any reward

 

Chip on their shoulder at not even being the best club in the City.

I lived with an Everton fan from Liverpool for 3 years when I was at Uni. He idolised Duncan Ferguson - He supported Everton to piss off his 2 Brothers who both supported Liverpool.

 

Sounds like he wasnt the only one who's switched sides glp...

 

So did you spend up at the designer outlet, or have you got enough left for a pint tonight at the game?
