Michael Dawson, but I'm in full agreement that Bruce has been very good recently and I have been very impressed with him.

He's come on leaps and bounds in the last 2 and a half years under his old mans tutelage, he was **** when he came. Doesn't look out of place in the premier league now.

Until the next time he makes a mistake and then you will remind us that you've never rated him.

Davies was the left sided centre half. He often ends up making tackles on the touch line, even in a back four, as does Chester on the other side when the wing backs are pressed up the pitch doing their attackng duties, probably up near the enemies corner flag. Even more traditional full backs get up that far in attack.

    It was a back 5.

His dad did him no favours playing him as a CMF which got him a load of stick. It's that round peg, square thingymebob thing . .

Sto over thinking everything and just enjoy it for gds sake
It's like an Oxford university debate at times
Oh Gosh Davies was rather spiffing at CB
Oh Rather I beg to differ he was slightly left of centre
    Just enjoy

My point Fex was that his Achilles was obviously not a major concern, and the fact the SB put him on was because he felt the niggle was not a risk, but clearly Coleman was causing problems down the right, and Rossy is an excellent defender and was the best replacement for Robertson, and that stopped to a large degree Coleman's influence. The fact that his injury is Hamstring, means that the risk in putting him on was justified, as if it was a reoccurrence of his Achilles then it would have been a bad call to put him on.

I take you point entirely, but think an Achilles niggle bad enough to cause a limp is a real gamble, but the hamstring trumped anything else. It was not too long after that when Meyler went down looking like he was badly hurt and when he realised there were no more subs jumped up as if nothing was wrong - probably the most bizarre incident of them all.

Can I just point out that injury leads to further injury...

If you have a niggle you tend to put more exertion on other parts of your body and give the sore part as much of a rest as you can. It's possible that Roseniors Achilles problem could indirectly have caused the hamstrig strain.

When Rosie went over it was a strange one, it looked like his ankle lost its shape, the Sky commentator thought his studs had caught. Whatever the answer he now has time for both to repair together. Has there been any injury updates today?

Fair point, but I think for the reason mentioned SB thought it was the best option. The fact that he set up the first goal as well on balance probably justifies it.

Well done on your win, but we were gash.

Awful team selection and tactics from Martinez again, 2 down at HT and he switches to a back 3 and puts Baines and Naismith as the central midfield pairing, the tit has lost the plot.

Well done to the City fan who sang in my ****ing ear for the entire match in the a north Stand an 'all. <laugh>

Good luck for the rest of the season
