To possibly end the season in 17th place when we've been in and around mid table all season is hard to take. Trying to be positive with the fact we're safe, europe, fa cup final and all... hehe but still, need to start next season much better than we've ended this one!
Well that was a bit rubbish wasn't it I don't get the "we're in the FA Cup final so players not 100%" talk. The last 8 games have been really poor Still, job done from results earlier in the season Bring on Saturday
I know it's the old, players don't want to get hurt going into the Final, but what about all those fans who pay money week in & week out to watch City play? We were not at the game today, we had a few half chances but really we were too pedestrian. I don't know what SB will be thinking for next weeks game. I know we can't go all out & attack but we also can't just wait to catch them on the break either. Since the Semi we've looked disorganised, error prone & slow. On a plus point, it's good to see McG, McS & Aluko back. I'm really hoping SB has a plan for the Final, but from watching the last few games I can't see what he would have gained in terms of ideas, I guess that's why he's the manager though.
I do agree with a lot of this. Overall, of course a fantastic achievement to finish 16th, but we have not just looked a poorer team over last 5 games but, I would suggest, since Christmas. The lack of pace is a big issue for me , and whilst I hope we can sign Livermore, I think the player we need most is a quick midfielder who goes past people (and a left back)
On top of this has been injuries & suspensions &'the fact we have not had decent quality to replace these. Losing Brady didn't help either, but overall we've done the job we set out to do. Norwich did better than us in their first season & last season, then this season tried getting bigger too quick IMO, we can't go down that road, especially with Europe being a huge distraction too.
Personally i'd do his ankle myself. He was ****e, absolute ****e. Koren showed how to play in between their defence and midfield and did it well. Why Brucey didnt start with him god only knows.
TBH I couldn't care about the result or the game. I am just pleased our boys survived Gareth Barry....what a clogger.... I loved it when someone whacked him and he went down like a pile of bricks.....Its called getting our own back...
Enjoyed the game today, a bit 'end of season' but a good atmosphere in the North Stand Thought the coppers coming out in such numbers at the end was ridiculous btw, proper overkill. Good luck for next week, hope you manage to get a result
