    I agree with this
I stand amongst others in E3 (now) and the singing is quite sporadic and not varied enough, including in terms of songs for players
I’m an old bloke and join in with most chants, and in fact started one last night, but I’d have hoped the young up and coming chaps and chappesses would have sorted this
Not been to an away game this season yet. Traditionally this is where new chants are started. Are the younger away trippers varying the songs yet?

Otherwise I’ll have to write some and hand out song sheets I suppose…

(BTW there is hardly any anti Allam singing anymore so that’s not causing problems)

Winning games would help. I know people call them plastics and part timers but that's how it is in the 21st century. More go to see a winning team, less go when they are losing.

Bigger metropolitan district and surrounding population., just like Leeds, so per capita we don't do bad against these cities

"Sheffield had a 518,090 population in the 2011 census, the second largest city in the Yorkshire and The Humber region. The Sheffield Built-up Area, which the Sheffield sub-division is the largest part of, had a population of 685,369 also including the town of Rotherham. The district borough, governed from the city, had a population of 584,853, the 3rd most populous district in England, this is the mid-2019 est. It is one of eight English cities that make up the Core Cities Group.[

I don’t even see the need for new songs, just some of the standard, we are hull , by far the greatest team, wearing black and amber when she comes , managers name followed by black and amber army …… hardly hear these anymore . In fact when I go to away games now the songs seem a bit too complicated and I can’t work out the words <laugh>

No idea how it's funny, it's exactly what Barnsley did. The Wigan points deduction kept them up and the following year they got top 6 with largely the same squad, albeit with a very good manager.

I think most of them were sung near me last night (apart from being by far the greatest team...for obvious reasons!)
No stamina these young uns though...needed to go on for longer
I do think player specific songs are needed though
I can't make them up mind you...I'm never sure who is who until about November!

That aside do our home attendances indicate that we are a healthy Championship club with a good solid fan base ?
That is my point which some posters are overlooking ?

Do you know of anyone who refuses to attend because they cannot take a Mars bar into the ground ?. I've heard of some excuses lately but that one takes the (chocolate) biscuit.

I think we’re roughly in the bottom half of the bottom third of championship attendances

Just like we were in the mid 70's in the old second division. Which ended up in bankrupcy.

Think Ehab Allam needs to brainstorm a few old heads and random fams on what can be done to boost gates.

I am not a militant flasker so the current draconian stop and confiscate policy doesn't trigger me

But if I look back on the last 20 years or so since we moved ground, the enjoyment factor has gone significantly south regardless of on the pitch stuff.

So many factors, some of them football in general (getting more ****ish every day) but some Hull City specific which could be remedied.

It certainly doesn't feel like home because of the small-minded folk who control the facility, and who just want you to **** off home ASAP after the game.

There is the cold dead hand of the Council on one side and the uncomprehending passive-aggressive stand off of the Allams, both wishing the other will fail, both convinced they are right.

The KCOM was still rocking in 2013 when we went up v Cardiff, the atmosphere was loud, raucous and unified and everyone loved our owners, especially Gone for a Walk.

That relationship is beyond repair, and some fans foolishly believe new owners will heal all the mess.. Maybe, but probably not.

Dig in, support the shirt, and put a clothes peg on your nose to protect against the toxic stench of modern football..

True, although that seems unlikely given the TV cash now and the fact that the Allams would lose their income stream from the club, and any assets to sell.
A gradual decline of playing levels is likely at that level though. (our attendance is pretty average League 1 attendance)

That's why I can't understand why they're doing as much as they can to get people back. They have done some good things like the graphics etc, and starting to use the name again, but it could have been used as great PR I think if they'd made more of those things. They could have done that without it sounding apologetic, but at least heralded the removal of hulltigers from the website as a good thing. That should have been easy.

The ban on flasks etc isn't a big thing in its own right, but for the floating voters they should be trying to lure back, it does come across as petty (and I know it's for rugby too, but the Allams own to SMC so that down to them either way)

I agree with most of that, but what is it that the Council are doing wrong?
