EXACTLY WHAT ARE OUR TACTICS? I see us being outplayed and outsmarted everywhere, AT HOME with a previous cushion of three down to one and not looking like it is going to change.
It was obvious they'd be going at us so Gracie decides to hold off them rather than hurry them - ****ing useless ****
Thing is we still have the initiative this time. We're winning and they need to score, not us. Mentally though the players don't look like that. We obviously haven't coped with their work rate and determination at all which is typical of this City side really. Meyler surely will be on before long. The problem then is how we maintain an outlet high up the pitch. I don't think we have one in the squad so it's going to get really ****ing nervy if they're still pushing for a goal late on because we won't be able to get out.
That's my point BCC they've hardly touched the ball, they aren't near Hernandez when the balls knocked up to him, they aren't near Derbys midfield when they have the ball. It's like they disappear into the oblivion because they don't contribute to any phase of play. This has been my beef for nearly 2 years
Of course Derby will be pushing for a goal. The coping mechanism of the pressure at the moment seems to be to lump it forward to a lone striker... well it's clearly not working. We need some ****ing movement all over the field to allow for some passing options. Trying to be too casual and resorting to lumping the ball away rather than being dispossessed... well it has the same effect!
Meyler has got to come on here and disrupt their midfield. Not sure if we can score after that but leaving the midfield as it is will be an inevitable recipe for disaster.
Hull need to change their tactics. You are better going forward than you are defending. You'll score twice if you change your tactics.
