Yeh I've said this before. This links to the point made on Huddlestone's lack of assists. Our corners as well rarely create a goal, so beating the other team on corner count really amounts to nothing. Unfortunately Bruce puts Huddlestone high up the pecking order and we may have to wait till Snodgrass is fully fit till someone considered senior enough will challenge him for these moments.
Having watched this game back over the weekend it was a lot worse than at the time. Both teams looked like battlers against relegation rather than promotion contenders. Every team can have an off night though. Butterfield took 2 chances where as Maloney did not. SM got his range finder all wrong. However it is just one out of 46 games. Nothing has been decided either way. Other than prove that if you play poorly you shall lose. Derby were the better of two poor teams on the night. One thing that is now crystal clear is that Moses Odubajo is not a left back. Why we gave Tom Ince so much respect beggars belief. He does not deserve it. He did very little in the game other than one shot. Hopefully this result will be a kick up the backside.
It's Deja vue all over again. Anyone questioning why Brucey isn't playing his strongest team in the run up to the play offs, give their head a shake. If robbo was to get injured before derby we'd be royally ****ed at lb. Interesting read this thread
Think you mean tomorrow mate ? Nice if Derby lose tomorrow, with our goal difference we'd have 4th place in the bag.
I agree really, barmy to cause fatigue to the squad, surely the best chance to get past Derby is with a fresh team especially with the midfield concerns we've had all season
