    “I think we all look at the game in isolation, we don’t necessarily look at where they are (in the table), it’s about what they’ve got and how they perform, what they are likely to do,” the Sky Blues chief said.

    “I think they are a side who have obviously come up from League One, Grant McCann has done a brilliant job there and got them playing in a way that he wants them too and he wants to stick to his guns which is admirable.”

    “I think they are a hard-working side but they’ve got some really good quality, Keane Lewis-Potter off that left hand side, we know Mallik Wilks, Magennis up front with some really good quality and George Honeyman behind him, they’ve got some really good players and they are just finding their feet at the level again, which is tough.

    “We know ourselves, we found it last year, it takes a while to find your feet, but I expect a tough challenge, they’ve given everybody a tough game so far and they work really hard to try and make it difficult for you but also wanting to move you around and create chances themselves.

    “It’s a brilliant stadium, I’ve only been there a few times, but it’s a great playing surface so it’ll be a decent game of football, but they’ll try and get after us and we’ve got to cope with that, but I want us to go in with no fear and try and play our game.”

    “It’s a busy week, starting now it is a three game week and it’s a big week for us really, three really good games starting with tomorrow,” he said.

    “Like I said last week we want to go up there with the idea that we want to take three points from every game clearly but go with that mentally and try and take three points tomorrow.”

    Looks like the kit they’re supposed to be playing in today is one that @originallambrettaman will approve of

    Presumably something their club have done in conjunction with their City council as part of their time as City of Culture. As it’s the first City of Culture derby game perhaps we should play in the shirt we launched specially to celebrate our time on the cultural summit…

    Yep, could go top today if the result goes our way. Its between the current top 4, they are starting to break away now.

    Be interesting, ferriby are solid at the back, Hallam are scoring for fun. The new striker (jowett) looked good in the mid week friendly.

    I reckon 1-1.
