£250k loan fee and another £250k if he signed permanently (along with a sell-on clause).

He now can't get in Charlton's starting line up. Played 8, scored 1,according to the BBC

Played seven in the league, scoring once and scored one in two cup appearances, though he did start the game before ours.

    They're welcome to him.

Fair points all of them. I just don't like this one formation for every game malarkey, especially when we're behind in games. If that's the owners dictating that, then he needs to ask them whether they want success or to just be in charge. If it's him doing it, then I'd question why he persists with it when things aren't going well. I remember Bruce playing 3-5-2 constantly and we went through a rough patch. He changed us to a 4-1-4-1 and we started winning again, but we'd occasionally revert to a 3-5-2 if the team we were playing suited that formation.

I am slowly warming to the bloke for reasons I haven't yet quite worked out, he seems like a very down to earth, honest bloke and he seems to have decent contacts in the game. But I think the majority of fans are still stinging from last season, not so much that we went down, but the manner in which we went down and we kept being fed these happy go lucky lines.
