Really enjoyed the game. As said earlier season hinges on ins and outs in the next 3 weeks. Love City and hate the owners but will always support the players and go to games
Can't be arsed checking this, but hasn't every team that Clough had left, gone on to prosper? Burton - left them non-league, re-took over them in the Championship Derby - left them as dour lower Championship nomarks and since then they've been consistently on the cusp of the PL Sheff Utd - as soon as he left, they pretty much went up Now, you could say he leaves clubs in good shape, or you could say he's a ****ecunt who ******s teams' potential.
What I don't get is why some get it and others don't; especially in the same country. Are some people's systems overteching it? Just a though.
Overall great result but first half we would have been punished playing a better team. Thought first half they got to many crosses in down our right, we missed some bite in the midfield and all over the pitch didn't close them down quickly enough. Sometimes our own passing game needed to speed up. Once we got the second goal there was only going to be one winner but even though we won easily I do feel we will have to improve against the better teams. Enjoyable game, let's hope Stewart adds something in the midfield area.
Before we all get carried away thinking we're going to win the league, don't forget last seasons first two games and what followed after. There's a long way to go, with many ups and downs.
They will, or might do, or maybe not. It will depend on the next result, or, maybe, the one after that ...
Henricksen started putting himself about a bit in the second half, making a few important fouls too. It makes him much more influential instead of just watching the game flow by him.
We need to remember that this is always a tough division with most teams capable of beating you if you are complacent. A good win today and hopefully on many other days Hernandex will fill his boots. Keep it up guys!
Agreed, I thought Irvine was the best player on the pitch while he was on, let's not forget they could have scored 3 in the first 30 or so. It could have ended differently had he stayed on, they lost their only real quality.
Watching the highlights it was Henricksen's very technical half volley that hit the crossbar leading to our opener, so he certainly contributed in the first half.
