Where did you go? Me and a mate do an urban walk now and again and visit all the places we’ve both lived and went to school etc Good memories
I've done a few of them Chazz and visited a lot of the places my Dad took me as a child. Yesterday, we walked down snuffmill lane into Cottingham then down park lane which takes you around the electricity pylons and then carried on to long lane near Beverley. We then turned right where the railway crossing is on long lane and headed towards dunswell/woodmansey road. We turned right and visited the first garden centre (not colletta and Tyson the other one). Walked onto dunswell lane and walked down there all the way to West bulls. Truly invigorating I can tell you. I've woke up early and already started using my son's weights and been hitting my stand alone boxing punch bag (and no before you ask I don't have pictures of Ehab and McCann on there). I felt guilty missing the game but sometimes things are more important than a football match. If you have any interesting walks Chazz (or others) please share. It really is a beautiful day chaps and ladies.
Helpful map of East Riding footpaths and Bridleways etc. https://eastriding.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=0765ff43d0194fd0937289105186e13c
That was basically my paper round as a kid. Not quite as far as the pylons but there were 3 houses way down that end of Park Lane that I had to deliver to. Those 3 houses took me about as long as the rest of the round. Talking of Snuff Mill Lane, have you come across this guy, doing some great stuff on YouTube?
I see Colin was in meltdown mode again at Swansea. What with Wilder choking on his chip butties and FC Massive over the trap door how ironic if Barsley swop places with the Steel City wannabes.
Cheers Ernie, I love snuff (I mean stuff) like this. I love seeing those cottages and the way the elderly folks take pride in the gardens. My old man used to take snuff before he moved onto a pipe. I have watched the first 7 minutes and will do the other later. Thanks again Ernie.
There is some development going on just after the pylons and the farm. Lots of machinery and the ground is all sanded. Hope it's not more houses. Its interesting to know of your paper round Ernie. I was saying yesterday that it's like a monopoly board around here cause you've got Park Lane and the Electricity company.
There's some cracking walks in Hull and the suburban area. It's great to have the choices between peaceful countryside and interesting architecture, many with personal memories, and all literally on the doorstep. We are totally spoiled to have it.
Spot on DMD. You can walk through to the coast too. I've done the Hull to Hornsea railway line and that was so peaceful.
I think he is too one footed. Championship defenders will force him on to his right foot. He really needs to work on that
