A mate who's a Posh fan says their pitch is in a shocking state. I hope we don't have another muddy nightmare like Accrington away...
Honeyman was really unselfish for our second, had it been Wilks the outcome might well have been different. I'm not being anti-Wilks but he does need to look up now and again.
It's the biggest thing missing from his game, he becomes a more intelligent player and the sky's the limit for him
Agree, he has all the attributes to go as far as he wants. He just needs to take the blinkers off sometimes
****ing petrol lawnmowers, reminds me of my complete knob Ed of a next door neighbour Mind you, many a team would kill for his lawn. I’ve honestly seen him use scissors, wtf is that about....
They are a decent footballing team from what you can see o Quest highlights so I don't think it will suit either team
It would be churlish to not give credit where it’s due. We hardly got into 2nd gear today to beat them and put in a competent TEAM performance. Well done City, that’s the minimum we are capable of. Got to question this ‘learning his trade’ though. He’s been at it for 5 years +, with nearly 260 games under his belt. Surely with that sort of experience he should have been able to get past teams like ( with respect ) Burton (JFH 187 games) Fleetwood ( Barton 132 games ) MKDons (Martin 66 games) etc. It seems like managers with lesser experience are able to out fox him, due to him not learning from his previous ‘mistakes’ ( tactics, formations, timing & use of subs, defensive spikey public relations ). He appears not to be able to change / adapt during games, particularly inflexible when needing to counteract opponents formation changes. A shame really because at this level with this team a manager with his ‘experience’ should be doing better. Cue startled disbelieving responses ‘we’re top what more do you want?’ Anyway, fingers crossed that this decent little run will continue on Tuesday, could be a pivotal evening with some of the other games also being played.
Firstly, deepest condolences to Phinius T Bookbinder on the passing of his father, a sad time. Secondly, really professional performance and great to see Whyte get his 2 goals, which will do his confidence the world of good. Coyle was my MOTM, he seemed to get the bit between his teeth from the start, and wanted to show Barton what he can do. Alfie Jones/Honeyman/Docherty had really good games as did the back 4. Wilk's assist for the first goal was a very good piece of work, as was Honeyman's for the 2nd goal. Nice for McCann to get one over on Barton, and to be fair got his tactics spot on for this one. On to London road, I would take a point now, but if we can put in a replica of the Portsmouth away performance, then 3 points could be possible. Top of the league again, let's try and stay there.
Good to see you’re taking an interest in Hull city again Not so long back you didn’t watch games and wasn’t bothered
I decided not to watch yesterday because I needed a walk for my mental health. I only checked my phone at half and full time. So pleased for the team and it sounded like a comprehensive win. I am pleased for me too, I walked 33,000 steps (14 mile). Have a lovely day everyone, the sun is shining.
