I shall still be a ‘McCann Doubter’ until we get back at least to The Championship where we failed miserably last season. UTT
Condolences PTB on the loss of your Dad. He must have been about my age. My first game was 1948. I'll probably be watching with him up there in a year or two. I plan on being buried with my Tigers shirt so maybe he'll recognize me on game days
Thank you. He did indeed. Told him each score for last few weeks. Left out the defeats of course. He must of thought we where romping the league ..
Surely a bit of fishing going on there? Are you really not still a doubter? Really? Sorry, but I can't see how anybody could not be. But still, yep, great to have 9 out of 9. 3 workmanlike performances against 3 relegation sides. And great to be back top of the league. I don't think there has been any question about every man playing for each other (and for McCant) all season ... unlike last. They clearly have been. Maybe let's see how the next 2 go before we get too carried away about McCan't? Irrespective, I'll stay a doubter for a long time yet. I see nothing to suggest he has the nous to be a good manager in the Championship, which should be minimum benchmark as that's what he was employed to be. I would still rather he was gone.
That’ll be me then! Don’t mind saying credit where due, a good controlled, industrious, efficient performance, all working for each other. Enjoyable game. Subs used at right time, taking the Honeymonster off before he got too wound up, after the yellow card. Great result, 3 points, UTT. Still don’t like McCann though. Sincere condolences Phinius, RIP your Dad. I feel your pain.
Fear not you're not on your own .. as the saying goes 'one swallow doesn't make a summer' .. I'm yet to be convinced by our illustrious manager and still agree with you .. I don’t think he has the tactical cuteness to be a success in levels above, but today the team and him did what was needed.. so credit where credit is due.
Yes, we've been clinical and yes, it's in our hands and again yes, well done to the lads and the manager. But even if we get promoted one way or the other, I'd still give McCann a brass coal scuttle, a voucher for Leonard Silver (for a decent interview suit) and a one way ticket to all points of the compass. Harsh maybe, but he's not a Championship manager.
He’s a young manager who is learning his trade. Maybe he’s a better manager this June than he was last June.
