After the lady at Sky explained how to get Sky Sports + she went on to say that in 5 years they will all be on apps. There wont be any dishes and you have to use broadband.

Really can't get into streaming. **** picture and always a couple of minutes behind. If that's the future I'll be watching even less football on the telly than I do now

    From the EFL site:
    • Fans will see increased camera setups across every division with six cameras in the Championship, four cameras in League One and two cameras in League Two – up from four, one and one cameras respectively.
    • Carabao Cup matches will feature a minimum of two cameras plus an up-scaled four-camera set-up for later rounds of the competition.

Yes there is a whole menu of games available when you use the red button, once tuned into Sky Sports Plus. There are so many available its almost daunting!

Don’t have problems watching programmes on SKY through broadband. Watch in both HD and UHD on a 4K TV.

As with many things Peter, you are right and wrong. It is an app, it is also a new channel on the Sky Sports range. I’ve been watching it tonight so I’m happy to confirm it exists.

Looking forward to the game, it is certainly going to be interesting.

I got the feeling in the pre-season games TW was being cautious and not getting them to play at full gas, this also might have been because he works them hard in training. Will be interesting to see what intensity we play at today.

Just been looking at Sky offerings this week.
On their website, they've already stopped offering the recording box (SkyQ)! They only offer Sky Glass (the TV product) and Sky Stream (a non recording 'puck' a bit like an Apple TV box). As you say, transitioning away from satellite dishes to streaming via broadband, with 'playlists' instead of recording. And, as with BT, the renewal prices for the older stuff are set high, with the best deals on the new technology, as they want customers to make the jump. Makes sense I guess, but tougher for many older people to change and to keep up with technology (I know as I am the trying to sort these things for elderly extended family living on their own!! It's not easy).
So not "in 5 years". It's happening now and probably won't be long; 2 years or so I'd say when existing contracts have expired and nearly everywhere has moved to full fibre or 5 6?)G.

Well this 74 year oldie has no problem with the technology. Got SKY glass as I wanted to replace the TV in one room. It worked out as cheap with the offers as what I was paying and I have a new TV. It isn’t bad but not as good as my Samsung QLED. So obviously the wife uses the SKY glass one to watch the weird and wonderful stuff she likes. Very easy to set up. The actual system, after you get used to it, is very good and now prefer it to SKY Q as you can easily access a lot more.

It just seems like normal football
It's different to Liam because they dont pass the ball around at the back waiting for the opponents to get their defence sorted
They still seem to be taking risks in their own penalty area from goal kicks
I dont understand the point in risking conceding a goal
and even when that doesnt happen they pass the ball around 10 or 20 yards out until they have to panic and kick it aimlessly into touch or upfield
