I just can't understand the point of playing them the wrong way round there's never any early crosses
I know you can’t always go by the stats, but they back that up. The reverse of Tuesday, more possession, more shots, more on target, more corners, less fouls.
Let me get this right Grozzer....you're on £20+K a week and you believe the E Stand should be making more noise to enable you to do your job better?
I thought he played well, but looked like it wasn’t his natural position which is why he was beaten a couple of times when he was slightly out of position.
Today certainly felt like an opportunity missed. I agree with McCann, once we scored, there was only one team in it. Tiredness setting in seems to be a recurring theme, which is a little worrying because the last two games we haven’t played anything like as intense as we did against Swansea/Brentford/Reading. The full back problem for me is more down to wingers not tracking. I thought Fleming did a decent job on his side, ditto Da Silva but there were times when both had two or three men to mark. Teams will have worked that out. In the last two home games teams have been able to switch play with one pass and we can’t deal with that because we zonally mark, so we don’t have a man covering their winger. We also lack key passers of the ball. Grosicki had no vision today, two or three times players overlapped and he didn’t find them. We seem to be playing a lower tempo, as we aren’t doing much first time passing or taking risks going forward. We also aren’t shooting enough, which in previous seasons we’ve done alright with. We seem to work the ball forward well enough, but then it’s the final ball that lets us down. I think I it’ll come good, the squad is certainly good enough for top of the bottom half, but we need to pick the intensity back up. Oh, and we need to give somebody else a chance on set pieces. Every single one was garbage.
There’s a lot to do in Bristol. It is summer, people away on holiday. They are saving up for Bristol Fair...
The city one team are from today are famous for building Concord, the other for Aunt Bessie’s Yorkshire Puddings.
Concorde was a vanity project, now defunct. Aunt Bessie's Yorkshire Puds will live forever, so there!
I’ve been on Concorde...bit **** really. Bloody tiny so difficult to not bang your head. Are Bristolians all of diminished stature?
Well. Bowen scored. He's now scored 3 goals this season. And he scored 20-odd last season. It seems to have worked pretty well I'd say.
This may surprise you, Den, but Concorde wasn't restricted to just Bristolians. Some quite well known people used it now and again.
