wins a win, won't bother with the 90 min playback on tiger player.....may not even bother with the highlights
Surely not, he sounds really level headed and mature, I'm betting Bruce's big knobs are out there today 'battering' the bottom team
3 points, clean sheet, up to 3rd, make ground on those above us. Only negative is Daws. Batter Reading on Weds. Onwards.
Swanny said it was a terrible performance and Bolton are the only team against who we could get away with it. Burnsy said they look a shadow of the side that dismantled Boro.
Crucial win, no matter how ugly. Not the best of conditions for a game of football (see rest of country for no high scorelines).
Hard to say really isn't it with no knowledge, they got the three points. Usually when we are crap people have plenty to say about it. I knew he would leave Maguire out so now he will have to put him straight back in, good job H Mag seems a level headed type
well we`ve not played great, got three points against a crappy team (history always dictates we struggle against the poorer teams), got a few minutes under the belt of Snoddy again, and Diamonde, Akpom has finally rediscovered where the net is, our competitors in and around us have all dropped points, only down side is that Dawson gets injured, providing Harry and Curtis play as they can we`re back on track. Had a bad feeling about today but we have come out of it with 3 points, come the end of the season this could be a massive result for us.
Important 3 points with those around us dropping points. With a lots of games coming up we need to try and build some momentum.
Could have been a lottery with the ref and the weather. I thought we kept hold better and looked more positive on and off the ball.
If we play like that against any other team, we will get battered. In the second half there was zero cohesion and it was really worrying. Anybody can take three points, that's the bare minimum against a crap side like Bolton. Seems some city fans are too happy with the bare minimum, I'm certainly not. Everybody around me today was well happy that other teams were drawing; typical city fans, never mind the other teams, look at the performance of your own team. Meyler didn't have the impact I thought he would, he was very withdrawn, but I'll put that down to injury recovery. Buck your ****ing ideas up lads, or promotion isn't going to happen.
We aren't going to play scintillating football every game. Even the likes of Man City and Arsenal struggle to manage that. Can understand people's frustrations but the most important thing today was the result. Whether we'd win like that playing against x y z is irrelevant as we beat what was in front of us. The win hopefully gives us a platform to build on and we can look to build momentum and cohesion like we did from mid October to mid November. Winning games ultimately breeds confidence and hopefully we'll see a continuing improvement on Wednesday night. Not great news on Daws pulling up again; need to have other senior squad members taking responsibility in leading the way in attitude and application.
exactly... makes it a BIG 3 points, important today to get back on track and get the three and that`s what they did, not great but job done.
Nicked from Twitter Jake Livermore and David Meyler have started seven games together this season. #hcafc have won all seven, conceding no goals. Some record.
Just goes to show how poor this league is when perform like we did today and still pick up all three points. Would take the same result now v Reading. Bruce OUT.
