Dont feel we've missed Elder in the last 2, let's put it that way.

I enquired with Mr and Mrs Botanic about the trip, online when I first saw them flogging it, even though Ive never been in in my life. I naively thought they'd be happy for the custom and to help get a fellow City fan over to Turkey. I might even have become a regular visitor on my matchday trips to Hull if I'd gone and enjoyed the company. Did I get a response? Did I ****

Smith looked calm and reassured under pressure. Reminds me of former Leeds and Blunt's centre half Matt Kilgallon. Thought he was excellent, but it was a kick about.
Also impressed by Cox...though stiffer tests will emerge!!!!!!!!

Thought this was our best game in pre-season. After an initial shaky first 20 we looked more assured as time went on. Thought Ingram had his best game with the ball. Clear they'd drilled it into him what to do when they press high with man marking.

I know it was against tired Barnsley legs but Tufan and Vaughan linked up well. In my opinion Tufan needs to be that second striker to link up the midfield to attack

They were plucky early on and missed a sitter. After that it was total domination really.

First half Cox and Jarvis were really effective, but then Coyle was consistent I getting forward and delivering too.

It was sort of total football except for the finish.

Second half they sat back and made it more difficult then we change the 11 on 73 minutes and they had a go for 5 mins then we got back control and Delap missed a sitter...

Vaughan, Cox, Jarvis all looked lively. Smith looks like he just fits in there too.

No one was poor and 1-0 flattered them.

Another observation was that 4k at a friendly tonight came over louder than 10k in the league under Ehab.

Or maybe we had a Turkish audio editor who didn't know to mute 'sit down if you shag your mum'.

Either way, leave that **** in. It's great!

Didn't know what Woods was doing when he gave one of there's the opportunity to chip Ingram from 60 yards. Lucky boy. Didn't see enough of Delap but he's bigger than his old man. Tetteh and Oscar tried but didn't produce much. Woods ran the show 1st half...

PS....The Delap chance was actually a marvellous block as it went for a corner.,

Think he like many struggled with the new pitch first half. Noticed a few of them slipping or pulling up turf at odd moments

Yeah, but in his brief stint with us you know he's got a shot from distance, surely?

Ingram. Just about had his angles covered though, so a nice bit of opportunism, but not huge danger.

As much as friendlies are glorified training matches, ones that actually take place on the training ground shouldn’t be taken seriously by any stretch

They looked like a team responding to being beat 9-1. Came out the gates hot but ran out of steam after the goal went in

He only played 12 times last season and has so far missed every pre-season game. Is anyone gonna be banking on him playing 35-40 games this season?
