I'll repeat my earlier post... This was a free hit regardless. Not the end of the world. Thankfully if Livermore is going to be out, I'd rather it be against Chelsea and Liverpool over teams who we'll be fighting. Ref was ****ing appalling. I say it every single week mind.
I was impressed with Bob when he came on, Harry, not so much, hopefully he's just rusty & next week he'll play better, because today he looked like a League 1 player at best. Referee, not going down that road!
we waited till late in the second half till we decided to push up field. When we did, we caused them problems.
Although it's **** to lose by 3 goals because it puts us on the back foot regards goal difference. It wasn't the best performance, Meyler needs replacing and it was good to see the short spell from a new striker. All in all, i can't be disappointed because I wasn't expecting anything from the game. I doubt we will get anything next week either.
Hernandez has lost his mojo. Its not just goals, he isn't fighting for it like last season and the change in attitude coincidentally started after the transfer window closed.
Today was always going to hard even with 10 men but they just had more quality were it matters. No disgrace today though, our season won't be decided playing the big guns..oh, the singing for cancer sufferers was brilliant.
Down to 10 men and outplayed by Arsenal. There's almost no point going into too much detail. All I will say is that there were periods when we looked really good, and I feel so much more positive than I did after our appalling pre-season. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that we are as good as most teams outside of the top strata in this division. Bring it on!
First words I spoke after the 4th goal were 'That's Marshall starting next game' I like Jak, and I wasn't after him being dropped, but I assume they've brought Marshall in because MP thinks he's better and the 4th goal looked poor goalkeeping to me. It wasn't far away from him and he didn't look totally unsighted Having said that he was his usual dependable self for the penalty...so **** knows ...Who'd be a manager eh!
Is there a reason Mike stuck with the square pegs in round holes all Orr the place and a clearly inferior keeper? Despite two lacklustre shows prior. Managers live or die on what they do or don't do, and Mike has ****ed up twice conescutively due to romantic nonsense such as sentimentality. Not for me thanks, he's proved he's not cut out to be a manager. Bottled it so far.
It would help if he had been given some better passes, but against Arsenal even with eleven men those would be few and far between. At least he hit the bar with an overhead kick albeit when he was offside. He'll score against either Chelsea or Liverpool I reckon.
