Definitely Nevin on 5 Larve. it was a total Arsenal ****fest for the first 10 mins. Couldn't get over Saddleworth Moor quick enough to get Umbersard and Burnsy. BBC bias again. ****s them. Also I couldn't understand the Jockanese twat anyway. What's a "Sweaty" commentating on the English FA Cup all about anyway?
SMC STATEMENT Following the delay for some Hull City Fans entering the stadium on Tuesday 8th March, I carried out a full consultation with the operations and safety staff to understand the reason why this had happened. We are bound by UEFA to adhere to all match start times and this early kick off had repercussions during an already busy rush hour in Hull along with Spring bank road works and Anlaby road suffering usual congestion which led to some fans not getting into the stadium until very close to the kick off. I was at the stadium from 4pm and was assisting all my staff - During 18:58 and 19:19 we saw on CCTV 1200+ fans still walking over the footbridge from Argyle street towards the stadium that had not entered the stadium perimeter. In terms of the SMC turnstiles, they were all working and stewards expedited entry as fast as they could, however we do understand that some print at home tickets caused a few delays of which we are addressing as part of our constant review of the new ticketing system in place at the stadium. The SMC are making all round improvements to the stadium over the next 18 months of which I, as Managing Director, oversee with great enthusiasm, so will be addressing our online print at home tickets as a matter of urgency and will continue to be at all matches and review any issues. James Deacon, MD, SMC
If fans were walking over the bridge at that time then the club can hardly be blamed for them getting in late to be fair.
It's bollocks, I got there at 6.55pm and there were thousands of people queuing within the perimeter trying to get through the turnstiles. He's just picked a number, CCTV can't count, it's just made up and only a percentage of the crowd come in over the bridge anyway.
I made sure i got there early as i knew there'd be ******s not able to use the turnstile properly. Seems there are some difficulties with some of the tickets though. Then theres the dodgy ****s trying it on with a few prints of one ticket. Early kick off played a part too, but if you arrive at 6:55 when everyones on a ticket then i wouldnt expect to get in on time
This is not the first time this season this has happened. It certainly happened at the COC game V Leicester, but perhaps on a smaller scale so you can't blame the kick off time necessarily. I'd say he's about 1,000 down on the number of supporters who missed the kick off. We missed the first 10 minutes - various reasons IMO 1) Not enough turnstiles open 2) Turnstiles not open early enough 3) Some fans don't know how to scan a barcode - people in front of us were putting the ticket upside down, then every way except the right way, then calling the for the steward. One bloke in front of us actually ripped the barcode OFF his ticket and then waved the ticket under the scanner 4) Too many stewards checking carrier bags rather than doing what they could to keep the queues moving. 5) Print at home tickets isn't working - too many home printers maybe not up to printing bar codes strongly enough. Sadly despite James Mooney's assurances, I don't think this will be the last time this happens
I don't like even thinking about this never mind writing it, but a lad at work (Derby fan) was trying to wind me up yesterday about Meyler's cock up for the first goal. He was suggesting there might have been a brown envelope involved and although I laughed it off it stuck in my mind. I have since watched a lot of replays of the goal and they don't make me feel any better. Under very little pressure he flicks the ball across the box without looking up and when he does eventually look up he doesn't even seem to make eye-contact with Davies (who he was supposedly trying to pass to). Instead he just impassively watches the ball run to Giroud. There was an incident earlier in the game when Meyler played a similar dangerous infield flick which Bruce somehow managed to control. Bruce confronted Meyler after it and clearly said "What the **** was that?" and even the commentator made a comment along the lines of "You can see what Bruce thought of that." Anyway I really hope it was just one of those things that look worse than they actually are and if I am being a daft twat I don't mind you lot telling me.
A brown envelope involved? Give your Derby supporting **** of a mate a clump, and while you're at it, give your ****ing head a shake.
