Oh christ, thank you for your compliment. I'm glad to know I preoccupy you so much you have to mention me in every one of your posts. My ego's so big now my balls are feeling lonely. i predicted a 3-0 loss, I complimented the players that deserved it and slagged off those that didn't. Deal with it.
I agree mason was ****e. It was just the typical premiership refereeing we've all become accustomed too though. The stamp on Quinn was accidental (probably) as was the kick to Meylers face. But words should have been had and probably a yellow for the stamp on Quinn. Arsenal got the benefit of the doubt for everything and we got consistently punished. However it had no real baring on the result. It's just frustrating to watch as it happens 80% of the time. It's hard enough playing these teams with their expensive "superstars". The least we should expect is refs who will give us a level playing field. Unfortunately it will never happen
http://dailycannon.com/2015/05/man-middle-hull-v-arsenal-referee-review/ there you go - the Arse thought he was a homer
Even though we where outplayed we still could and should have scored 3/4 goals last night Let's hope it's Saturday we finally score 3 goals this season
Mason booked N'doye for scarcely anything, letting Arsenal get away with at least two bookable offences, but his inability to 'see' the assault on Meyler was evidence of at the very least a sloppy approach to refereeing. But we lost in the main because Arsenal were so slick and sharp when attacking at pace and they have laid waste to virtually every team since the beginning of the year. But, upwards and onwards, three more games to get a win and a draw to stay up.
True !!! The pace of Arsenal on the break is pretty scary. We simply don't have anything like this pace and our midfield wants to much time on the ball even if we did have the pace up front But now on to Saturday Still think we will need something at Spurs even if we do beat Burnley coz I can see Sunderland squeezing another 5/6 points
John Hartson @JohnHartson10 Great welcome at Hull City Afc last night..Arsenal too good. Huge game for you this weekend at home to Burnley! Good luck hope you stay up. please log in to view this image He was doing the corporate stuff with Deano last night.
HDM player ratings... Steve Harper: City's goalkeeper was responsible for ensuring the damage was limited to just three Arsenal goals. The veteran was powerless to prevent the Gunners' win but kept out Sanchez, Cazorla and Bellerin with fine stops. 7 James Chester: Got away with one when appearing to block Wilshere's goal-bound shot with his arm but perhaps deserved a slice of luck when hanging on against Arsenal's attacking class. His pace helped cover others' lapses. 6 Michael Dawson: Inadvertently helped Arsenal take the lead when his head deflected in Sanchez's free-kick, typifying a tough night at the office. Not his assured self against Arsenal's movement but no throwing in the towel. 5 Paul McShane: Found himself exposed too often against Arsenal's slick passing and this was not the same solid performance we have seen recently. Almost grabbed a goal with a header over the crossbar, a near miss that could have changed the game. 5 Ahmed Elmohamady: Set up Quinn's goal with a lovely floated cross and almost found another assist when his centre was nodded over by McShane. A regular threat to Arsenal but that came at a cost when exploited in behind. 6 Robbie Brady: A key part of City's bright play inside the opening quarter of the contest and his link-up play with Quinn was excellent. A fine cross for Aluko should have been converted but he was often pushed back from then. 6 Tom Huddlestone: Not an evening to remember. After being caught in possession in the build-up to the opening goal, his loose play set Arsenal away to grab a third. Could not live with the harassment of the Gunners' midfield. 4 Jake Livermore: The midfielder's night lasted just half of the game when replaced due to an ankle injury but his manager may have made the change regardless. Sloppy passes put City under the pump far too often. 4 Stephen Quinn (starman): City's only midfielder to emerge with any credit. Showed great care of the ball and harried Arsenal all night. A first Premier League goal in eight years was his reward, as was a standing ovation when replaced. 7 Sone Aluko: One big chance for the Nigerian and it wasn't taken. With the scores at 0-0 he should have at least hit the target from Brady's cross. After the highs against Liverpool, this was a less notable performance. 5 Dame N'Doye: No real sniffs of a goal for City's lead striker, other than a shot wide that was called for offside. The Senegal man has caused defenders greater problems than this and he will be needed this weekend. 5 Subs David Meyler (for Livermore 46) Shored up City's midfield when returning from suspension. Went through the wars, too. 6 Andy Robertson (for Aluko 65) Dropped in at left-back and helped limit the damage inflicted by the Gunners. 5 Nikica Jelavic (for Quinn 82) His return from injury was one of the most encouraging sights of a tough night. 5 Not used: Allan McGregor, Liam Rosenior, Alex Bruce, Abel Hernandez http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...tory-26439733-detail/story.html#ixzz3ZFvxSrb6
