Philip Buckingham ‏@PJBuckingham · 1m Word from the Midlands is that Joleon Lescott is due for a medical at West Brom tomorrow. They've hijacked City's move.
It looks likely to me when sources our end (Phil Buckingham and Mike White) have both heard the same. Most frustrating thing is seeing West Brom pinch Lescott and Palace in pole position for Livermore's signing. Losing out to 2 relegation rivals.
They got it from that same article I posted. @RobStewart_ @hulldailymail Can't take the credit, Rob. It's the good folks at the Express and Star.
BBC Humberside Sport ‏@HumbersideSport 1m Doncaster Rovers' former chairman John Ryan has confirmed Hull City have expressed an interest in full-back James Husband. #hcafc #drfc
We were already looking at him, this has nothing to do with the Lescott deal, he doesn't even play the same position.
I know we were, but what i'm trying to say is we are likely to press on with this now it looks like Lescott is gone.
We are looking at signing younger players to fit in the 'homegrown' element of European competition. I don't think they count as part of our squad submission. Maguire, May, Husband all fit this criteria.
Sorry, if I sound abrupt, but the only 2 players in the world we could sign who meet the criteria for the Europa league for us are Tom Cairney and Liam Cooper. They have to have trained here, not just in the country.
Surely likes of Joe Cracknell, Max Clark, Sam Topliss and Ben Clappison would be ok for our 25 man EL squad ? If so, better to have them IN than run light.
