    Arse.

I'd say getting him to sign would have been one of our more important deals.

He'd need replacing if he goes, and as others have already touched on, strikers don't come cheap. I know he's hardly an Agüero or a Suarez but he's still a very decent backup option and it will still cost a few million to replace him with someone of equal ability.

If The Florists as a Championship Club can pay a competitive salary by comparison to a Prem Club then says it all really about how much Brucey wants him here! With Prozzy out the door permanently I reckon Brucey will make a permanent new signing otherwise i'm sure he'll be in the loan market for striker back up.

Palacios is the natural holding midfielder we don't have and Brucey knows all about him from their Wigan days. Guess he could represent good value with little or no fee involved. For me it also release Huddlestone to play further up the pitch.

I think Palacios would improve us, and as Cheshireles suggests, it will allow Huddlestone a bit more freedom up the pitch. Not sure if it will mean an exit for someone, or simply an addition.

Bruce doesn't decide player contract terms, Ehab does.

He must have forgotten who paid his wages and gave him the best possible medical treatment when he was out injured for nearly a year.

Palacios and Huddlestone? Neither are exactly blessed with agility nor pace, the quicker, more direct teams would run them ragged.

If my current employer only pays 20k and gives me plenty of time off, courses etc, but another comes along and offers me 35k. I know for sure where I would be going. It's a job and you need to look after yourself, most seem to appreciate that.

    Just had a look myself.

Christ are they ill informed! The general consensus is that they'd be disappointed with Fryatt, who is an old-has-been-now-past-it looking for one last pay day who's just had a poor season and isn't good enough to score the goals in that division.

    <doh><laugh>

I'm not even joking! What a bunch of ****ing clowns!

He's a footballer, he's going to take the best deal he's offered, just like every other footballer.

I carnt see him getting in ahead of jelavic and long and probably Aluko so at best he's 3rd/4th choice, so if he can get first team football and a better deal whilst closer to the midlands it's a win win situation for him so you carnt blame him

That may be the case, but I suspect 'if' Brucey wants a Fryatt stay then he will be a significant influence on whats offered; after all Brucey often refers to the budget he's working with.

Not a good comparison. 'It's a job you need to look after yourself' If that was the case he would take what City are offering and sit on his arse because you cannot tell me a Championship club are offering more then a Premiership club?
Fryatt has been well looked after at City and we did pay his wage in full and all his medical bills whilst he was on long term sick. In my world a bit of loyalty goes a long way.
And your 20k a year might not buy your loyalty but how much do you thinks Matty Fryatt has been on A WEEK at Hull City ?

It's all relative. I'm pretty sure we will have offered him reduced terms. He's our 4th choice striker and if it wasn't for our cup run, he wouldn't have had much match time at all this season. So yeah, I think Forest will have offered better terms then us - and rightly so - he should be a first team regular for them.

agree, quote "wont want Fraytt as our main striker, but if we could get him on say 6k a week he'd be a good back up"

Noway will we sell to either Newcastle or Slumberland EVEN if Davies was available as both will be near the bottom next season. As for Everton that link will have been dug up from January. Everton dont need defenders btw.

I agree.. It is a very fair price for the lad. I suspect though that it wont all be paid in one lump sum. Another season or better than last season and Livermores value would improve greatly.

Depend on how gullable you are i guess ? A stopped watch is right twice a day.

If he goes to Forest yes he gets a starting place (maybe) but shows a lack of ambition. I doubt that Forest are paying him more but Fryatt wants to play as do most players.
