Does appear that way doesn't it? Every single thing other than official FA channels is going to say Hull Tigers on it.
A bit of a grey area, he's not allowed to use it where the playing name is concerned(ie he can't tell other clubs to use it as our name on programmes etc, as he did at the start of this season), but quite where he can and can't get away with it seems a little less certain.
This seems like a good place to point out that the badge for next season, as we've all suspected for some time, is changing but not to just the tiger's head as we thought. I don't know any more than that other than it doesn't have AFC on it (also exactly what we expected). Sounds like a complete new badge to me.
I've heard the stands are being re named to East Tiger, West Tiger, South Tiger and North Tiger. Also SB's official title will be Daddy Tiger. Honest.
Another ****ing lie then with all this tripe about us getting a vote on any new badge. 'have i ever said anything and gone back on it ... no' what a ****.
To be honest I'd forgotten about that. It was so long ago and there's been so many lies since, I'm not even bothered about getting a vote on the badge. The fact it's changing, and for no reason other than it's a way for Allam to get back at the fans and show he isn't going away quietly is what pisses me off.
I have always said that I will not object to Hull City Tigers. City was the key word for me. I expect a slating but really what did anyone think would happen? Assem Allam going away licking his wounds, no, he always had Hull City Tigers as a back up plan and I do not believe that there is anything to stop him using it commercially. I am not pleased with his plans, but after all the campaign was to stop Hull Tigers and that was successful.
The playing name of the club does. I'd call it fraud by misrepresentation. They're trying to obtain funds by selling people a product which doesn't exist by using a similar name to that of an actual product.
