im playing a game of poke the tiger over on their thread, but by their reaction, they aren't happy. It would sound a bit weird on the classified football results. Although end of the day, if our owners wanted to call us Leicester Foxes, i wouldn't mind as long as they committed a to the club for a few more years and continued to bankroll us.
I was reliably informed they were gonna change their name to Hull City Nil...... apparently it would save embarrassment this season
The owners have said that 'City' is too common ......my questions to the Allams is ! Have you actually ever been to Hull ? Theyd come back saying 'Dont worry guys, City is fine'
Like their supporters club chairman said on the radio this morning, i think he was refering to the fact that alot of clubs use it, rather than it being socially common.
Hey! im putting forward some justifiable comments on the situation, but you can't really expect us not to laugh
All the endless: "Assem is great" "Papa Allam is amazing" "He's a local businessman who loves Hull and really cares about our club" Brilliant!
Yeah, unsurprisingly those sort of things were posted before it turned out he was a ****. When someone saves your club from probably administration and liquidation, of course you're going to like him. When he does this....
Yeah we can all be fooled. Our owners have been great for us, but there's nothing stopping them turning around tomorrow and calling us Leicester Foxes. I just don't want this to start a trend, and we end up like America, with our "Manchester Red Bulls" and "Tottenham Dynamo"
If the shoe was on the other foot I'd be completely ragging you about it so we can't really complain if we get the piss took out of us!
I just can't believe people on our forum aren't bothered about the name change. Heads in sand. Club can do no wrong.
