Okay, tin hat on. Given the trust has less members than CTWD had, and the majority of fans are not members, comments like those below devalue the vote by losing its credibility. An honest acknowledgement of that would have been better in my view. "There is clearly a considerable ground swell of fans that wish to express an opinion on the name change." "the sheer number of people willing to firstly pay money to join our Trust; then go to the additional trouble of casting a vote, is significant." "the outcome of our vote has considerable legitimacy locally and amongst loyal supporters of the club."
It's good that 6 people who are YTHT joined and voted to be represented and have their say. Makes a lot more sense than the 'I won't ever join cos you don't represent me before I've joined, but I still want to complain about everything you do' attitude.
Some aren't complaining, as much as pointing out short comings and potential problems before they become realised. I expect the committee would welcome such considerations.
What Dutch said. Plus a third couldn't arsed? In a trust that has less members than CTWD but is meant to be made up of people who want to make a difference? Kudos to the Sensible 6, claiming that lends legitimacy to this poll is ****ing hilarious. Thanks for the laughs.
If every single member had voted and every member had voted against the name change and we had 15,000 members, Happy would still post some bollocks about it not being good enough.
In a trust that is supposedly made up of passionate members where sending an email is too much effort, yes I do. A third are apathetic. Or don't care about the name changing. That's quite surprising.
I agree but, even with that, a clear majority of the members voted no (this isn't an Allam "3% yes, 3% no, 94% didn't response which I'll take as the silent majority telling me they're happy with the change" poll)
If AA held a vote with a simple yes or no he would lose big time.....i have never met anyone who actually prefers Hull Tigers. I even asked on the filey coach made up of mainly west standers and no one said they prefer Hull Tigers to Hull City. **** pointless idea . And you cant claim i am a HATER of AA Or have a biased view
OK but 2 questions. 1 what influence do you have with the club? 2 will AA care? it seems to me that you can hold these votes and polls, but it means **** all apart from riling everyone up and boiling their piss.
As the statement makes clear, the poll was conducted to inform the Trust's response to the FA on the name change application, the FA having written to the Trust and sought their views three weeks ago. Rather than assume it knows what its shareholders think, the Trust put it to a fair and even handed vote with a simple question - and this is the outcome. What Assem Allam thinks about the result is of interest I suppose, although I doubt the Trust will find out. But that wasn't the purpose of conducting it. And if "piss" is "boiling", I would suggest that is due to the name change proposal itself, not the Trust's poll.
