Off Topic Hull: City of Culture

They used to hang monkeys.

 

I thought that. It was there 4 centuries before there was a Hull.

 

Had a mate whose parents moved to Luton in the 1960s. It was bloody awful then and has got worse since.
Though music and fashion wise they were way in front of us.
One of the first places I took my eldest lad to for an away game. It was a major culture shock to him that was for sure.

I love Hull (warts and all) but I do quite like Hartlepool as well.

Just done a wander round town all very nice I thought.
But how sad to see Hammonds shutting up.
Some of the staff Looked really down.
A lot of them have been there since they left school
I should know I've harasssed some of those women on the perfume counters for over 30 years.

 

I wonder if they thought, " Oh ****ing hell he's come to harass us for one last time before we close"?

 

Yes, but did you end up with a perfume which suited you?
