Loads, far more to do than he thought there would be. He gets a lot out of it as he believes in community involvement. He is very impressed with the organisation of it and very proud of Hull.

Seems to have stepped up a gear this last couple of weeks. Plastered all over the city.
    Definite buzz starting up.

I wonder if the media stopped interviewing John Prescott eating fish and chips , talking about the demise of the fishing industry and filming the muddy waters of the Humber might be the start to changing people's impressions of Kingston upon Hull. All of the above may be part of our history and culture , it interests nobody outside of the City boundaries and simply reinforces the existing perception.

I was talking to a guy in the village pub, and he remarked that he's seen a lot of stuff on Hull/CoC.
Said it looked very good in the pics.

I just get pissed off being told by the BBC it's good for fish and chips and William Wilberforce lived here.

It's boring and what commentators have been saying about Hull for 50 years. If you want people to think differently about the City start highlighting other aspects.

Always find that wearing boxers prevents wedgies...<doh>

Anyway, what's a culture thread with no mention of underwear?

I agree, the COC team have been brilliant at highlighting a wide plethora of art & culture made in Hull and its extremely lazy now of any media to ignore this and wheel out old 2 jags or Geraghty to tell us about fish & chips and rugby.

Yes, there will be 30 restaurants and bars there, with tables spread out like on that photo. In your dreams.

Talking of Hull culture... that website in my signature (look down)... relaunching a brand new website within the next few weeks. I might mention it a bit when it happens.

Miles better than the one currently up (which was meant to be temporary, but ended up lasting somewhat longer than intended).

    Exciting.
