Regardless of CoC, the regeneration of the Fruit Market area will ensure the area is heaving for many Summers to come....looking forward to seeing it all finished especially the residential area which will give the new enterprises customers on tap.
"City of Culture, you'll never sing that" Oh no hang on, you've got that parmo **** and Steph McGovern.
They're not quite the Bellagio Las Vegas, but good none the less. I think the refurb of the city centre has been great......but.......without knowing fully how often these fountains will be on, the fountains coupled with the very large somewhat higgledy piggledy wooden seat furniture located in the square towards Barclays and the end of Paragon Street, means there is not a huge area left for pedestrian traffic through that area. Starting to look "very busy". Going back to the furniture, the council have banned A boards in certain areas, but those small individual block seats that are scattered about are a danger to sighted people let alone visually impaired people. Just a couple of gripes in a very impressive scheme overall.
Our lass was telling me earlier how she was texting and fell over one of the cube ones. Funny that, I've just read something on the Internet saying the exact same thing. Proper sympathy
There's something about them, could be the height, colour or positioning which makes them easy to walk into. Texting whilst walking into one No sympathy
It's only quite recently someone told me that the mosaic spells HULL. Mind you, I still can't see the man in the moon.
I once went full face DOOYYNGGG into a metal lampost at fast paced walking whilst texting, funnily enough in Queen Victoria Square. It's easily done....although the traffic lights in the pavement are the way ahead to warn of dangers https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/worldviews/wp/2016/04/25/this-city-embedded-traffic-lights-in-the-sidewalks-so-that-smartphone-users-dont-have-to-look-up/?utm_term=.5dd547380e1c
I just had a quick google, and I'm having doubts about it now. http://www.not606.com/threads/ot-that-big-picture-above-bhs.228685/ OT - That big picture above BHS
