I've read Ian Botham's autobiography. He said he'd rather play against the West Indies pace attack in there prime then Billy Whitehurst.
I've said it on this forum before, it's become non-contact. The result of that is players just falling for penalties or to get people sent off (for second booking or first). The referees become the stars of the game.
Hardly a wonder with the faux outrage at players like Costa in last nights game. It's not even a level playing field. If they did it after every game, sure, we'd all know what to expect and accept it, but its just not like that.
